Aaron was relaxing at the beach, tropical fruit juice in hand. Wearing a pair of Magnemite themed swimming trunks, the five foot four blonde watched a volleyball game between two trainers. As was his Banette, Scizor, and Trevenant. His Frillish, Bisharp, and Skarmary had no interest, and were making a sandcastle nearby. The stoic teenager wasn't the most athletic out there, but he wasn't bad either. His three Pokemon that were interested on the other hand...well, they were big staples in his rotation. Especially Banette, who evolved from his cute Shuppet, and Trevenant, his ace battler. Even with the harsh sunlight, the game looked fun. Only problem? He had no one to play against. His big brother was off Clamperl hunting or whatever it was that he did. The older Toral brother had gotten his first gym badge, so Aaron couldn't blame him for being over the moon and wanting to relax. Particularly considering what he heard about the challenge.

While he wasn't doing the gym circuit for the sake of doing it, he was hoping to one day become a gym leader. And what better way than earning the badges? He had two already. But anyways, he looked around for anyone that seemed bored or also had an interest in the game. Seemed the group kept several volleyballs, and if someone busted one, they had to pay for a replacement with a deposit. Though after you had your fill of the game, you can return it for a refund. Literally just doing it for the fun and wanted to spread it out some.

the events of the festival had managed to pass a good hunk of the day for flora, but a break now and again seemed like they would prove to be nice, especially away from the majority of the crowd. the beach was still stifling, between people just gathered around and in line for the events the splashfest was hosting. at least, if nothing else, her walk around the beach hadn't been too bad.[break][break]

at least until she saw the kid. or, at least, she was assuming he was a kid- he looked to be in younger teens, at most, and there weren't any older adults around from what she could tell. her first thought is to be worried that he's lost, and then her second thought is to be even more unsure of that- sure, she was happy in hoenn, but she couldn't deny the fact that it was a bit of a mess, especially now.[break][break]

it doesn't take her long to make up her mind, concern for this kid driving her to approach before she stops a small distance away. and, because she's not sure what to do, she takes on a tone she uses at work (one that's usually used for kids much younger than this one). "hi, are your parents nearby? a guardian?"

Aaron turned his head to woman with a look. Taking out a case from his bag, he opened it to show two gym badges, the Knockout Badge and the Skyrider Badge. Even with the odd tattoo that said Yuki on his front shoulder with inky black lines following his veins going everywhere, Aaron had handled himself well with his challenges. "I'm far from helpless. Besides, my parents are busy taking care of those affected by the fire in Littleroot, since their place was one of the few to be spared. Bro is still Clamperl Diving. And it's not like I'm alone either." On que, is Trevenant, Banette, and Scizor backed him up. The amber eyed teenager also pointed to where his other three were playing...showing a Frillish, Bisharp, and Skarmary staring her down. Honestly, when will adults learn that just because you're a kid, doesn't mean you're weak. Heck, Hideo was blind and he had six badges.

Looking back at the volleyball game, maybe this stranger can be fun though. Just like his earlier stoic tone, he spoke again. "If you're free, and doesn't mind a game, there's a volleyball game ending soon, it looks like. My three here and myself versus you and three of yours? Could be a fun little match..." Closing the case and putting it back in his bag, he motioned for Skarmary to come by to watch over his stuff. Standing up, he hoped the lady would take him up on the offer. He didn't care if he won or lost...the purpose was to have fun.
