"risqué?" she repeats, bewilderment taking hold of her. she joins him in his soft laughter and sits up; silver hair flutters down past her shoulders. "why, now you're putting words in my mouth." but she grins mischievously and totters up to her feet.

sand shifts under her toes and it's in one fluid motion that she slips out of her beach wrap and suit. with her foot, she tosses the swimsuit onto his chest and grins down at him, hair a tangle of salt spray and sand, light eyes glinting in the moonlight.

and then she's off, pale form loping away from him and towards the sea. laughter peals from her, taunting and wanton.

oh, but she refuses to be caught so easily. her feet hit the surf, sending a spray around her, and by the time the waves are rolling over her calves, she's diving. what sand has been bothering her on her arms and legs is cleansed as she swims under the frothy waves.

when she resurfaces, she can't see king. she wipes her eyes and slicks back her hair, toes barely touching the ocean floor as the waves roll gently over her.
