With each squeeze and bite, garlicy grease oozed out from the burger. It was a little more than he appreciated, especially given the price, but it was hard to expect much from a lilycove burger joint. At least the pickles were good.

His nose scrunched up as he peeled off a stray piece of lettuce from the burger. "Everyone has a weakness," He shrugged. "We'll just have to find hers, somehow. "

As Jayden's voice faltered, so did his expression -- a clear sign of something being wrong.

"Behind?"

Felix's voice was low, hushed. A whisper below the protective barrier.

Before shadows swallowed them whole, Felix mirrored his partner's movements, slipping up his own matching kakashi mask and hood.

Once they were on top of the nearby building, he'd send out his Dragapult. It lazily smacked it's lips as it floated beside them, drowsiness crusted below his yellow eyes.

They could follow her to the outskirts of the city, but there were no guarantees that's where she'll be heading, or if she was meeting another high profile league member within the area. They, hypothetically, could also strike the next moment she's alone, but again, there was no telling who she was meeting, or if they could even engage fast enough to escape before further authorities showed up.

Silent, the trained mercenary mulled over their options. "Follow her til she's alone, then strike." His hands patted the poison still rustling in his pockets. "We can't afford an extended fight, so we'll have to keep it focused."

He glanced back up, expecting a response.

The breeze billowing from the direction of the sea continues to blow Katherine's hair back into an almost tousled mane. She doesn't seem to mind that, however, as evident by the fact that she hadn't lifted a hand to touch her hair.

Since Felix's engagement with angelo vestri , he hadn't so much as stepped outside to Sootopolis without at least one venom-coated knife latched onto his legs, courtesy of Elisabeth Fiorelli 's brilliant mind. With the likes of demigods dominating the scene, at least with this, he felt safe with one minor advantage up his sleeve.

Silent footsteps and a few usages of Phantom Force allow the rockets to travel via shadows, trailing the Elite four like ghouls of the night. Only when she found herself isolated, basking in the sea breeze, would Felix turn towards Jayden. Without any words, his eyes would speak volumes: 'strike, and I'll cover you.'

Upon any movements from his counterpart, the mercenary first set of actions would be to replace his dragapult with Gallade and Amoongus.

This was indeed the perfect time to strike.

With Katherine's back turned to her assailants, one would be right to assume that the elite four was as good as gone and that a single, precise hit would take her out of commission. This logic would apply to most people in Hoenn.

Unfortunately, the Malevolent proves to be the exception to this rule.

Giratina interferes, its power spreading through its vessel as Katherine shifts into a form of antimatter, allowing the POWER GEM to phase through her entirely.

It's an odd feeling, but one that she'd grown accustomed to, "Hrm?" she doesn't quite seem to grasp what's happening. The elite four isn't naive, mind, but she's a bit oblivious still.

"You don't seem to belong here," she comments, eyes fluttering at the foreign Sableye. Despite no command being issued, Katherine's own Sableye, Amethyst, is quick to fire off a WILL O WISP. Its urgency is amplified by its PRANKSTER nature.

She's less focused on the battle at hand, admittedly. The METAL SOUND continues to ring and echo in her mind, its source remaining hidden. It's not just one Pokemon, Katherine realizes.

There was no evading the Will-o-Wisp, given the pokemon's prankster's tendencies, but he still moved alongside his rocket counterpart, sending forth Gallade, Amoongus, and Klefki to their side.

Amoongus is protactive with his movements, creating a wave of STUN SPORES to wash over the playing field, all while the the klefki looked to imprison their foes with a daunting FAIRY LOCK.

The ULTRA BURST phenomenon remains largely unknown and mysterious for all, including Felix. And so, without explanation, the admin is left to wonder of the implications of what they'd just witnessed.

Alas, there was no time to stare in awestruck. There was a battle to be had and a victim to claim.

"Gallade," Felix clicked his tongue, and with one swooping gesture, the bladesman evoked shackles of PSYCHIC energy from its mind. The chains bared the objective of forcing the woman in place.

"Amoongus."

Then, the fungus acted again. Its original wave of STUN SPORE had felt the chill of ICY WINDS, so instead, it looked elsewhere for its next attack. With a large chug, the amoongus launched two jets of purple liquid from its spores. Before reaching Katherine, the streams would break apart and disperse midair into a cloud that envelopes then poisons its target.
