Ashley regrets that feeling of jealous, because when Isaac speaks of this girl, it's exactly what he always wanted. He didn't know how to put it into words though. Isaac just captured them effortlessly. Somehow, he fell ass backwards into the heart of a woman who seemed to take such a shine. So when Isaac requests it, Ashley says it out bluntly. "Isaac? My guy? If you fuck it up, you are the dumbest guy on the face of the planet, alive AND dead." Schrodinger's Idiot.

To ease the guy down though, he would shake his head. "Don't worry, man. How could you fuck it up? You're Isaac Merlo. The fuck up is the one who falls on his face and gets the girl to laugh so happily. If you did... she'd love you more." Right from the heart. "... I want that." Genuine.

You don't deserve it, Ash. That's right... he'd probably sabotage himself. Just like with jayden cross .

With a breath in, and a breath out, Ash decides to get off the grass, and stand up, staring up at the sky. He can feel the wind on his skin. "Tomorrow then. After I go see a friend at the store." Without realizing it, Ashley's Pokemon had all flocked back. Some with more food than they had originally.

"Rocket or not. You're the best friend I've had in a long time. Never forget that, Isaac." A warm smile can light up the night.

That way she can tell me how much of a dumbass I am for worrying her," he said. Isaac's tone may have been light, but that didn't mean he was joking around. Hell, he was completely convinced that this would be Cygne's game plan.[break][break]

Was that intense? Maybe that was a bit intense. "I've been through a lot," he explained. "Probably more in these four months with Rocket than I have during the rest of my life. So things have been intense lately, to say the least. But, hell. Just means I'm making up for lost time, right?"[break][break]

Ash seemed incredibly genuine about the light he wished to lead. It made all the pain he had been through stab that little bit deeper into Isaac's heart. "You'll find it," Isaac said, eyes sharp and voice resolute. "Trust me, man. If some screwup like me could bumble into someone's heart, you've got all the chances in the world. Trust me. Bet you before the year's even over, you're gonna have someone swept clean off of their feet."[break][break]

As they made their plans and exchanged their hopes, Ash smiled with a warmth that made it hard to remember how much he had suffered. Isaac was going to protect that smile. He didn't care what it took, or how nasty the thing threatening it was. Isaac lived for the fight, and there were few fights more worth it than this.[break][break]

He returned Ash's smile with just as much warmth, even as his promise etched itself into his brain. "Right back at ya, buddy."

Carve a path through hell? In other words, if Ashley ever peeves this woman off, he's likely to find a one way ticket there himself. Not only was Ash pretty ecstatic to hear that honestly. So when Isaac asked if it were intense, he merely waved it off. "Nah. Pretty apt." But then, unlikely could anything piss off Ash.

The affirmation Isaac gave did leave a better taste in his mouth than he started. He'd find it. Yeah. That was probably true. Didn't stop the dry spell, and really, a dry spell is only that way in the mind.

Still, as the brothers looked at one another with the warm smile, Ashley found it imperative to keep teasing Isaac. "Alright, enough mushy shit, man. Let's go get some food. I'm buying." He points towards the city. "Ever had Alolan cuisine? They have some bomb-ass taco combos."

And then I'm gonna eat my hat." He was in a state of joking disbelief, but the smile on his face couldn't be bigger. It was as if he couldn't wait to be challenged.[break][break]

That said, there was something a little odd about the location of the taco truck. Was it always so close to the park? And why were so many of his Pokemon scattered around it? And how the hell did all of them get their hands on some fresh, delicious tacos? Even Ash's Pokemon were scattered among them, each with a fresh taco prepped just to their liking.[break][break]

Come to think of it, where were Watson and Bongo?[break][break]

Watson peeked at his wicked work from the safety of the taco truck. His kingdom stretched out to the horizon before him. His brethren were well fed, smiles spread across all of their faces. Even Zaius, from the confines of his stoopid monkey cage, seemed satisfied. And all it took was a little bit of look, a little bit of improvisation, and a Pincurchin pointed right at the back of the taco truck owner.[break][break]

Who knew world domination was so easy?[break][break]

Hang-Ten Tacos wasn't always in the business of providing free food. But, shit, if this Pincurchin was going to keep working its magic on his neck pain, Tac'Olina could make a few exceptions.
