What in the name of Arceus was going on?! First his pokemon were acting weird as hell, now the weather was going absolutely insane! What??? It was like the sky was tearing itself apart. He stepped back, his rockruff, Kazzy, next to him whining and hiding behind him, cowering from what was happening.

Matt stared in fear and awe at how destructive but beautiful the scene was. Blinking when he thought his eyes was playing tricks on him when pokemon appeared and disapepared. Squinting, he then jolted at the voice he barely heard.

"I guess so? But I don't know what the hell is going on?!"

Matt's own nerves were starting to get wrecked by the events around them. Kneeling down he grabbed a hold of Kazzy, holding the pup close to him. Trying to calm him by holding him. "It's okay bud, it's okay.." He repeated, trying to also assure himself it was fine. It was absolutely not fine, but he had to try.

Both head snaps towards the alert they were given. Matt froze, going to duck down to try and attempt to shield Kazzy from the dangerous, however his dog leapt from his arms to go defend his trainers! Jaws extended and fangs did as well, going to Crunch right down onto the arm of the pokemon, refusing to let go!

"Kazzy! No!" Matt called, more concerned for his partners health than his own.

Kazzy was finally sent flying off the Garchomp, sliding across the ground and finally stopping. Shaking himself of his dazed state, his eyes went to glare at the brute who was going after his trainer. How dare he! Did he not learn his lesson from his bites?! Obviously not! Snarling he went yapping and barking after him. Going to Crunch right into his leg this time if he got a hold!


Matt was far more concerned for companion than he was his own health. Everything was happening to quickly! The ape went... ape, and now Kazzy was trying to bite the things leg! But Noah's words hit his ears and he followed the instructions without hesitation. Blocking his head and soon barely dodging under the blade of the Garchomp, it actually managed to slice some of his hair off.

One dodged, he went to swing with an upper cut right to the damn dragons face! Matt...

Matt was not a smart man.

Matt was not smart- he really was not.

His first hu rt like hellfire.

Gritting his teeth, he tugged the bleeding knuckles to his chest. Using his good hand to keep his face still protected. Shooting his head over towards Noah as he called, he gave a firm nod. "Kazzy! Come!" he called for the canine.

Turning on his heel, he nodded at Noah and took off racing with him. Kazzy was going to follow the ape, barking at him in thanks for assisting him and his trainer! What a good... what was this? Kazzy had no idea what the ape was!

"Thanks man, I do appreciate it." Once he made sure they were clear, he grunted at his burning hand. "What... what the heck was that, again? What happened???"

Matt squinted as Noah explained what... what that was. Excuse him, what? That made no sense. How does time and space just mess up like that? "What, someone piss off some god and now he wants to fuck time?" Matt looked a bit baffled by this information. "Ah, sorry. This is kind of a shock." Rubbing the back of his neck, he looked at his bruised hand.

"Well, it's better than the time I punched a Sawk and Throh in the face..."

Was all Matt ever did was fight?

Kazzy had followed the ape, now sitting at his feet and tilting his head at the giant pokemon. Pawing at him and barking happily, as if thanking them for helping save his master, so thankful! Then he dashed to Noah, running around him barking and dancing in his spot. Many thanks!

Matt cheeks tinted dark at the question. Along with the tip of his ears, feeling very embarrassed at that question. Nope, he had no sense of training, besides rounding up seven younger siblings and fighting for the last slice of pizza.

"No- no not really."

Sighing, he looked down at Kazzy, who was just so excited to get any type of attention. Yipping and finally settling down to let him pet his head. Going to jump up and steal some kisses! Aha! See dad! Everyone likes kisses!

Matt gave the canine a cross look, huffing at him, then shaking his head. "No, someone stole my pokemon and to get 'em back I kinda had to fight in a pokemon ring... Also known to punch some poachers." That got him rubbing a finger under his nose with a snort. "Not that I'm proud of that, but poachers just get under my skin." Shrugging, his hands went to be stuffed into his pockets- a smallw ince from the hurt hand.

"What about you?"

Wait, wait, wait, this was a gym leader? A gym leader?! That was great- he could tell Nico! But he let his excitement about telling his boyfriend fade, trying to not snort at the poacher comment.

"A lot of punches, I say."

But he was smiling, offering out his hand for a handshake. "Matt Vice, rookie ranger." He told him, sounding a little proud of himself at the title, he did just earn it after all. "Guess there's lot of stuff I need to learn."
