Frankly, with the meteor, there was really no way of knowing when the end would be. All that anyone knew was that it was on its way, too slow for a quick end but too fast for anyone to get comfortable.[break][break]

That meant one thing: panic sales![break][break]

Was it crass for the Slateport Mall to effectively offer an end of the world sale? Oh yeah. Majorly so. There was no ethical consumption under capitalism, but even by those standards this was kind of fucked up. The world was ending, and you were just going to stoke the panic and fearmongering like that? To squeeze a few extra bucks out of people and secure your place on the high score charts? It was exploitative. It was manipulative. It was downright cruel.[break][break]

It was something Isaac sure as hell wasn't about to miss. When else would he see prices like this?[break][break]

Ideological purity didn't hold a candle to the fact that shit cost money and now it cost less money. Isaac was just playing the game like anyone else, that's all. And, uh. Oh boy. People were playing this game for keeps. As soon as Isaac opened the door to the mall, he heard a cacophony on par with the Ultra Beast Wars breaking out.[break][break]

Arguments were erupting in every aisle. Stiff arms were being thrown over the last cartons of eggs. There were even a few Pokemon battles breaking out, an understaffed and overworked security force running from one side of the mall to the other to try and quash these brawls before they could get started. It was madness.[break][break]

If Isaac was going to get his shopping done, he was going to have to act fast. That meant it'd be time for old favorites to meet new up-and-comers. Two Pokeballs hit the ground, Isaac's trusty Dhelmise emerging from one and his newest gift from Cygne emerging from the other. The Fomantis, Hyacinth, looked up toward Isaac with focus in his eyes. What was their mission today?[break][break]

"Dhelmise, get us high in the sky. Hyacinth, see if you can calm a path through the crowd with your Sweet Scent," Isaac said. Two Power Whips snaked out from behind Dhelmise, one binding Isaac towards it and one wrapping Hyacinth up. Once they were secured, its Anchor Shot launched toward the support scaffolding along the mall's ceiling.[break][break]

Once it was fastened on, the trio were ready to get to work. Isaac swung through the air like Ariados-Man, anyone that tried to protest the unfair advantage or tear Isaac out of the sky getting a blast right to the face from Hyacinth's Sweet Scent. The little samurai treated his duty with utmost seriousness, even if it meant he was blasting people who weren't even in Isaac's way. Oh well. At least between the pleasant aroma and calmed crowds, it was making the whole experience more pleasant.[break][break]

That left Isaac an opening. There was one shelf with toilet paper on it left, and Isaac was not using the sub's 0.5-ply shit if he had any say in the matter. He disengaged from Dhelmise's Power Whip, landing in a perfect combat roll. He rolled through to his feet and sprang up towards the toilet paper, setting a hand right atop what seemed to be the final roll.[break][break]

Good thing he was the only person in that position, right?
