"From all the information I've gathered on this location, it's mainly Ice and Ground Types that are here, dear. The only one you have with you that could have an issue with either typing is Soot." Night hummed, though he'd stiffen at the sudden hands shoved against his back, sucking in a sharp breath before he'd shuffle a bit to dislodge the freezing digits.

"While Apple will not be seeing any form of battles, at most she will be here as moral support." A Grass and dragon type? Against ice types? Absolutely not. Night was not letting her get involved. Which left Phobos as the one to deal with any battles if there was no other way around it. But as Pluto continued to speak, Night could only give an affectionate sigh. Reaching up to press a finger against his mouth with a soft "Hush."

He could hear Phobos pause just ahead of them, and the odd squeak like the Malamar were holding a tentacle to its beak in an attempt to not laugh. "You desired to locate a Snom, Phobos has been antsy to go exploring again. If anything, neither of you will owe a favor to each other, you can stop worrying about that now." Night explained, giving a slight shrug as he glanced about the icy cave, tugging the jacket in a bit closer to him as a hand raised to press against the breast pocket—assuring himself of the presence of Apple's Pokeball.

"Now, just look in the crevices of rocks and the walls... And you might be able to find one. If not, let Roze search as well, he should have little trouble here with Phobos to accompany him."

Pluto Fürst

Pluto whined so absolutely loud wham he was shoved away from Night's hold. Grumbling and withdrawing into his coat, still listening as he started to pout more. "If it's hot here and I get sick... I am blaming you."

But there he went, going to the walls. Leaning in close to try and see, placing a hand to feel along and guide himself. It got too cold to quickly and he'd go back to his hand shoved into his coat. Whining, he got Roze's ball and released

"Please, help me find a snom, Roze.."

Night Fürst

The whining only had an amused hum in response as Night looked around them, though the waving from Phobos' tentacles had him looking up to take in the pair of wild Pokémon that the Malamar had managed to wrangle around. Quirking a brow towards the Squid, Night reached a hand over to nudge towards Pluto.

"Neither are a Snom, but they are still Pokémon. They do not catch my interest, but perhaps yours?" While he doubted they would, the sharper motion from his other hand had Phobos slowly lowering the pair back down—to allow them to run off if Pluto decided he wasn't interested in either of them.

"Both being Ice types is promising, the insect you're after will likely be here. A Snom is only a few inches smaller than a Swinub, afterall."

Pluto Fürst

Pluto only passed the two pokemon a glance, and just as his husband assumed, he wanted nothing to do with them. THe swinub would have been a cute friend for Soot- but he rather not. The pokemon he was looking for, was for him! Not for his other pokemon or his husband, him!

Hell, he never even caught any of the ones he owned, so this felt super important to him to get right. "Love, you know how I feel about this... I want it to be done right and special. I want to catch it myself before getting help from you or the boys."

Night Fürst

"Of course, but you know as well as I that Phobos isn't properly controlled like that. He does as he desires, and in this case. It seems to be herding around the Wild Pokémon to see if they're what you're searching for." Night explained, watching the Malamar shoo the first pair of Pokémon away before it'd slide off further down the cave again to search.

"At the very least, you will be able to decide whether or not they are what you're searching for. I doubt he will keep them restrained or try to combat them for you." At least, he hoped such was the case. As helpful as the Malamar was being, it was a tiny bit frustrating to see how much it still chose to ignore him on the smallest of things.

At least this time, when the Pokémon wandered by—or stayed to stare briefly—there was no Malamar to herd them along. "What of either of them? they seem... oddly peaceful at the moment. A Crabominable and a Baltoy."

Pluto Fürst

Pluto pouted, giving the Malamar a look. Both the pokemon and his trainer never listened. At least, Pluto thought they never listened. Only thing they both listened to was him, sometimes. Crossing his arms, he kept pouting at them until his eyes drifted over to the pokemon that were paused to stare at them. His face scrunched up.

"Ehh... might fit Neptune more than me." He motioned to the crab. "Baltoy seems up your alley or Terra's, not mine though." He passed them along, going over towards the water within the cave, crouching down. "They won't hang out near here, would they?"

Night Fürst

A small nod would be his acknowledgement towards Pluto's refusal. Keeping an eye open for any signs of the small bug that his husband was on the hunt for. Though Pluto's question had him looking back over; pulling his hand back a bit from the wall to pick his way towards him.

"I do not know much of the species you're after. They're not very common as far as I know. The only information I could gather was that they were a bug, and an ice-type... Being this is the only place Ice-types seem to be found, they very well may choose to linger near the water." As roundabout an answer as it was, Night could only shrug. He truly had no clue where the Snom might frequent. The slight shivering form of a Snorunt caught his eye for a moment in the reflection of the water—just far enough it was obvious that the ice-type hadn't noticed them, but too far for him to approach quietly if he'd intended on bringing it home.

... Good thing he didn't. Especially as the slow lumbering step of a Rhydon would startle the shivering pokemon off. As languid as the ground-type was in its approach to the small body of water, it still seemed to keep a watchful eye on the pair.

"And I'll assume neither of those were to your fancy?"

Plutp huffed at the water; like it was it's fault for not having exactly what he wanted at this moment. A little spoiled, Pluto might be. That could all be blamed on Night, he spoiled him far to much. Knowing he was going to keep searching for the little bug he wanted so.

"Of course I had to want the one thing hard to find." The disappointment in his voice. Before the lumbering steps had Pluto jolting back from the water. Fleeing towards Night to hide behind him. Like Night was the best protector in the world.

"Err, no thanks, dear."

He had enough trouble with Soot, he did not need another lumbering giant.

Yet.

Night Fürst

"Soot might very well get in a fight with it, wouldn't he?" More just a statement than an actual question, but Night wouldn't get upset if Pluto wanted to say something about it. He knew the Tyrantrum well enough to know just how territorial the dinosaur could be over the simplest of things.

It wouldn't take much longer for the Rhydon to lumber away in the same direction it had come from, drawing Night's attention to the dip in the wall with a nudge back towards Pluto. "Shall we look deeper in? Perhaps they find somewhere far from where a human may usually walk in order to hide?"
