it's the opposite of romantic.

[break][break] some raunchy song playing in the background, her skin warm and flushed from the influence of alcohol, sand whipping at her knees each time the wind rushes past.

[break][break] danny's inherent awkwardness bumping up against her own nervousness.

[break][break] but she tilts her head up towards him anyway as he leans to kiss her. a hand settles itself in his t-shirt, pressing back against him. the solo cup that had been previously in her hand falls to the floor, alcohol seeping into the sand.

[break][break] it was a good thing that callie didn't care much about romance.

for someone who is such a romantic—even going as far as joining a terrorist organization in the name of love—it's ironic how little he cares about it at this very moment.[break][break]

it's not like in the movies. the raunchy song doesn't fade into the background, the world around them doesn't blur, but, fuck, does this feel so much better.[break][break]
