It was a confident statement from a confident man. But maybe Isaac was being a bit too confident. He turned to Ash, eyes closed and a winning smile on his face. He didn't even notice the Stunfisk that had gotten underfoot until it was too late.[break][break]

BZZT! In a single zap, Isaac's entire body went rigid. His hair stood on end, his eyes snapped open, and he tried, and failed, to speak through grit teeth. Oh dear. This wasn't good at all. He could barely muster up the ability to dart his eyes downward, vision trailing towards the flat fuck that was currently snickering up a storm.[break][break]

Watson rasped angrily, water frothing in his mouth as he launched a Hydro Pump straight towards the Stunfisk. However, it just wasn't meant to be. The flatfish continued snickering as it zigged and zagged away from Watson's attacks, slipping through the thinnest part of a nearby air vent. Damn. There's no way they'd be able to get their revenge now.[break][break]

Sighing, Watson leaped up and pressed the release button on one of Isaac's Pokeballs. A newcomer to the team emerged; Shockmaster, an Electivire that flexed her best and immediately bristled up for a battle![break][break]

Oh. No battle? Darn. But her trainer was stunned to high heaven, so clearly her services were needed. She lifted Isaac up with a single hand, tucking him under her arm and walking down the New Mauville halls. He had no issue with this; or, if he did, he sure didn't have the ability to speak up and say he did.[break][break]

Onwards to adventure!

A team. Ashley liked having that to fall back on. In truth, he considered Isaac close enough to be likened to Jayden. Well, if Jayden were less psychotic and more humane. They covered each other's weakness. It was a safety mechanism.

The Stunfisk underneath Isaac was a wake-up call. Though... Ashley breathed a sigh of relief when not only Shockmaster, but also that Watson, along with Bongo and Conga, decided to Hydro Pump, and Wood Hammer the little slimy thing. Ashley was just glad he had a foot to the ground to complete the circuit. If that shock got near his heart, well...

It was just a good thing Isaac was made of sterner stuff.

"You good, man?" He asks quietly, a Copperajah rumbling nearby, stomping their feet as Ashley and Reinhardt turned to see. They didn't seem like they were causing trouble. Good. Ash made a sigh of relief, and looked to Shockmaster.

So long as Isaac was fine, they'd continue, but he wasn't walking on until he got the greenlight.

Yeah, no dice, Isaac. No chance of speaking while your jaw muscles were locked shut like that. At most, he could flick his eyes up and down in the approximation of a nod, but even that was clearly taking a herculean effort. How the hell did Pokemon attack 75% of the time like this? Being paralyzed was awful![break][break]

Despite his attempted arguments(?), Isaac was clearly in no state to go on. Shockmaster looked towards Ash haplessly, trying to figure out just whose orders she was supposed to march towards here. Were she and Ash advancing? Were they stopping and waiting until Isaac's muscles unlocked?[break][break]

Ugh. Thinking was not her strong suit. Shockmaster plopped on the ground, huffing a little. Why couldn't she just punch her way out of this problem, damnit?[break][break]

Unless![break][break]

Yeah, no. That wasn't gonna work. But it was a nice thought while it lasted.

Ash felt himself stiffling a laugh. It wasn't like this was 'haha' funny, no not at all. He didn't find amusement in his friend's pain. He did, however, have to admit. Isaac's luck was one in a million- always bad. The first time he meets the guy, Grimace barrels into him while he's sun bathing. Not that Ash didn't have his fair share of slapstick. But there was always something comical.

Just lucky enough to live through it, just unlucky enough to experience it. A contradictive mess of a guy. Ash found it wholesome.

"Hey, no worries. It's-" He felt something on his arm. A feeling of fur... brown fur, a murring from a little fox that would quietly rub on Ash's arm, as he rose a brow. An Eevee? Here, of all places? How did it not get eaten up? Or trapped in some wires? "Let's take five. Isaac looks pretty rough. Give him some time for his nerves to come back online."

His Pokeball leaves his hand, as he gestures to the little furball. "Let's get you out of this place. Isn't safe."

The ball snatches away the little thing. Ashley putting the ball away.

Isaac saw that stifled laugh, Ash! Unfortunately, his attempt at communicating his displeasure just lead to him doing his best to pout while suffering from paralysis. That just broke the floodgates. Watson fell to the ground, clutching his ribs and kicking his feet as he laughed the soul out of his body.[break][break]

Oh no. That just got him pouting more! He looked like he just bit into a lemon as if it was an apple! That was hilarious! Now Watson's eyes were squeezed shut, trying to hold back his crocodile tears as they streamed down his face. Damnit, this was good. This was too good. Are you seeing this, random Togedemaru?[break][break]

Needless to say, the random Togedemaru did not expect a Totodile to sling an arm around its shoulders like it was drunken bar karaoke. The Togedemaru looked at Watson, baffled. Then she looked at Isaac and everything made sense. The Togedemaru burst out into laughter, which only served to make Watson laugh harder. Even Shockmaster, who had been glaring at the two, let out a little chuckle when she finally looked down at Isaac.[break][break]

Finally, Watson settled down. He waved to the Togedemaru as she scampered away, before turning back to his trainer. Was he unstuck yet? No. Clearly, he needed to do something about this. He toddled up to Isaac, reaching up and gently poking his face with a claw. It didn't do anything. Maybe he just wasn't trying hard enough?[break][break]

Poke. Poke. Poke. This one might take a while.

Watson was having a laugh, and like the best friend he was, Bongo was right next to the gator, laughing up a storm, throwing his little chimp arm to the other side of the gerbil, as the Togedemaru joined it. Even Conga, his little sister, joins in the merriment. The only one to not laugh being Reinhardt, who coldly eyes for them all to be quiet.

The Nidorino still smiles all the same.

Seated now, ahead of Isaac, he would gesture towards him and sigh. "Maybe today is a bust... wish it weren't the case." He sighs, grabbing at his face. Pichu, Pikachu, Raichu. It shouldn't be that hard to find them, could it? He considers the thought process of it...

Makes sense. When he was in the cave with Greyson Connors , he said he wanted to find a dragon. Hardly found any he was looking for. Instead, he found Pluto, and some Sigilyph he hadn't even used. Sighing quietly to himself, he leans against a wall, hearing the Klang of a gear moving to and frou. It seems to be moving on a wall, like a gear itself, and while it wasn't bothering anyone, it gave Ash a stinkeye. And was charging up.

"Hey, I didn't-"

Time for payback. Ash felt himself on the receiving end of a ZAP CANNON that struck him right in the foot. And the poor guy falls over, his entire left foot numb. Crying out, Bongo jumps immediately into action, with Conga doing the same. The duo get their baseball bats (WOOD HAMMERs- plural) ready- oh shit, they were batting. And as soon as they came up to the Klang, they both slammed with the force of a homerun on steroids. To say the Klang went flying into the factory was an understatement. Both Grookeys made a handshake, one that Watson was clearly going to learn.

Ashley grabs at his foot, and holds on for dear life. "Arceus, this hurts like a motherf-"

The level of explicatives he was using was not suitable for an audience, but to put it bluntly, the word 'fuck' was used at least thirty-five times. One sentence consisting of nine uses of the word by its lonesome. At least Isaac got to have his revenge? It didn't seem like Ash was terribly off.

Sure beats a Carvanha to the arm.

[attr="class","skullbody"]Isaac's eyes widened in shock. He writhed furiously, trying to squirm out Shockmaster's grasp. However, he was still too stunned to join his team in getting revenge on the Klang. All he could do was wiggle and mmph as his friend was left writhing on the ground in pain.[break][break]

For its crimes, the Klink was sent hurtling into the bowels of the factory. Watson, squawking with anger, ripped a Pokeball out of Isaac's bag and gave chase. If a Pokemon was in a ball, it stopped attacking people, right? Clearly, the only way to make sure this thing wouldn't rear its ugly . . . gear? again was to make sure it was captured![break][break]

As he ran off to make the capture, Isaac finally found the strength to turn his neck. He looked towards Ash, a frown on his face and concern flashing in his eyes. "You . . . okay?" he asked, the words sliding out of his throat as if it was made of sandpaper. It didn't sound great, but at least it was an improvement over before.[break][break]

Shockmaster brought him over by Ash's side, helping Isaac get a better look at the poor guy's foot. He still couldn't do much in this state, but it was the thought that counted, right?

"-SO YOU'LL HAVE TO FUCK SIDEWAYS!" was the last thing he screamed to high heavens and Arceus, as he felt feeling back in his foot. Ashley now laying upon the floor, as Isaac looked over the foot. The electricity left safely from his body and into a ground state, so there was no chance it hit his heart, but it was like taking a taser to the foot five times in a row at the same spot.

When he asks, Ash responds with a nod before speaking. His cursing came to an end finally. "Yeah. I'm good, man. Appreciate." He throws his fist into the wall, scaring a Charjabug who had been curious and uncertain what had happened.

Bongo and Conga both would proceed to do something for Isaac, since he was the worst off of the two. The duo reached into Ash's bag, and both pull out one finger sandwich a piece, both handing them over towards Isaac, as Reinhardt made a nod nearby, chasing off any stragglers that got close.

"Look... they're more worried about you than me, man... hehehe." Ash begins laughing. It looks like they both have just the worst possible luck.
