greyson's gaze flicks to the remnants of the cigarette, then back up and into the slits of the wolf mask's eyes. his own narrow, and a slight smile tugs at his lips. a dangerous one.

the delphox at his side bristles, the lip of her maw lifting in what could only be described as a sneer; she was territorial, certainly, but this held more remnants of pride than anything else.

"meteor falls will be closed for the remainder of the day while the league performs a throughout walk through." his voice is polite, smile soft. it never does quite reach his eyes.

"for your safety, please make your way back to town."

once, perhaps a year ago, greyson would've been naive enough to mince words with the man in-front of him. but, that greyson hadn't gone through the loss, and pain, and anger that he'd had.[break][break]

grinding his jaw, he exhales air between his teeth. acceptance settles into him, nestling closely in with that sphere of rage. they're friends now; roommates, even.

greyson clicks his tongue, and delphox responds. her wand appears into the grip of her right hand, while the second is held out in a stopping motion. a flick of her wrist snaps the branch forward, whipping the air in-front or her.

a vortex or mystical fire surrounds the masked stranger, allowing the two a moment or reprieve; a moment they use to put a few feet of distance between them.[break][break]

"ells! he calls, and the comfey responds. she wraps quickly around his wrist, a shield settling over him like a second skin.[break][break]game on.

"a bit, yeah," he says with a laugh, "but not of you."

he gives even more room to the delphox, even as she comes under siege by the two normal-types at bryan delarosa's side. a FLOWER SHIELD pops up around her, and the PSYCHIC of the audino fails to penetrate it. combined with the SHADOW BALL that precedes it, the shield cracks and scatters like dandelions in the wind.

it's enough time, however, for the witch to work her magic.

with a CALM MIND to guide her actions, her iris's blaze a faint hue of violet. chunks of stone tear violently from the wall behind bryan and his team, and thrust with her PSYCHIC will, they come barreling after the trio.

greyson clamps hands over his ears, and the delphox brunts the HYPER VOICE, grunting and snarling in discomfort, and annoyance. it slides up into a fox's grin as the audino it all but plastered by the incoming rock.

it's replaced quickly by a grimmsnarl, a pokemon greyson is familiar with as he both owns one, but has done battle with DANNY HALL 's own. the FALSE SURRENDER catches greyson off-guard, but the comfey around his wrist is quick to react.

almost like plates of black armor, the FLOWER SHIELD surrounds him in its protection. the grimmsnarl collides with him, its superior strength winning the day as he's pushed back. still, the shield keeps the worst of the attack at bay. long enough, at least, for vines to rip through the earth below (VINE WHIP) and lash themselves around the goblin's neck, arms, and wrist. provided it works, greyson starts throwing some anger filled punches.

meanwhile, the delphox understands the assignment. as is her speciality — she goes entirely on the offensive. another tornado of MYSTICAL FIRE erupts around bryan delarosa and his audino, all designed to keep them on their back feet, as a SHADOW BALL goes directly to bryan delarosa's chest.

still shrouded by the grimmsnarl's massive form, greyson can only see the shifting light, and the cool sensation that washes out from bryan delarosa .

"fucking knew it," he grumbles to himself, still slugging away at the goblin. when the next flash of bright light ensues, he's thankful to still be under the shadow of the grimmsnarl. kicking himself away, he puts distance between himself and the dark-type, just before the vines begin to snap under tension.

delphox, on the other hand, is not so lucky. blinded by bryan's FLASH, she's a sitting duck for the DAZZLING GLEAM. even as she blinks away the negative images in her vision, a THUNDERBOLT lands with enough force to send her barreling past, and through, a small tree just on the cave's outskirts.

greyson's attention, however, is entirely on the massive stag. horned and sparkling with life energy, it struck an imposing figure. that was not even counting the fact it was charging a move he recognized from the darkest day — GEOMANCY.

no time for games, then.

flashes of light, not bryan delarosa 's this time, but greyson's. pokemon take the field around him, even as the obsidian plate-like armor begins rolling up greyson's body once more. it glints beneath the sunlight, purple iris's flashing. [break][break]from his wrist his comfey mews, but it's not the soft, curious kind of his other fairy pokemon. this one is an angry hiss-like noise. its discontent manifests as a SHADOW STORM rises up and around the grimmsnarl.

to his right, tyrantrum wastes no time as it sizes up its opponent, then charges forth in a ground-shaking advance, shoulder tucked to GIGA IMPACT the legendary.

samurott looks back at the tree line, and seeing the delphox still not make an appearance, turns a hungry grin onto the two audino. he charges the twin pokemon, an oppressive HYDOP PUMP aimed in their direction to cover his approach.

bryan delarosa 's punch connects, meeting the black-plate of the FLOWER SHIELD. the air leaves his lungs, and he's lifted off his feet to go tumbling a half-dozen feet back.

the impact of both the punch, and the roll, shatters the shield, and once again he's forced to re-up it. this would be a useful tool in increasing his comfey's strength. his hand drops to the ball he keeps at his lower left hip, hesitating.

finally, with an audible "fuck it" and little other choice, he releases the contents.

a doublade floats at his side, but this maneuver was well-practiced. they glide into his ready grip and greyson enters a ready stance.

"round two," he calls, charging after the rocket beast, blades singing beneath the call of a SOLAR BLADE.
