“Bird-watching myself,” he gestured, pointing to a flock of Fletchinder that had taken flight from the nearby trees, soaring into the skies followed by a bunch of Fletchling.

One of the Fletchling was lagging behind, though, having come to a crash-landing close to where he stood. Just as one of the two pairs of eyes in the sky prepared to swoop down and come screaming at the poor avian, he picked up the little hatchling, allowing it a few minutes’ rest before letting the small bird take off, following a Fletchinder that had seemingly returned, waiting for the little Fletchling.

A sibling or a parent, maybe?

“Also looking for… injured avians I can take back to the Sanctuary in Fortree to treat for any injuries.”

while not a bird, the flying sigilyph calls out to them with its PSYBEAM. milotic is quick to enact a SAFEGUARD before tanking the damage. it returns a HYDRO PUMP, blasting it out of the air and down into a pokeball.[break][break]

Once the Fletchling and Fletchinder were out of sight he turned to face the other man who’d just taken care of catching the kite-like Sigilyph.

“Are you looking for anything in particular of the avian kind?” he wondered out loud, before his attention was diverted to a Timburr and a Throh that were about to throw hands at each other…

Uh-oh!

It was actually the Throh that threw hands first, in a manner of speaking—literally launching a Vital Throw right at the Timburr, who was forced to pick up a Rock and Throw it at the other Fighting-type.

“…apparently it’s not just birds that call these parts home,” he chuckled, wondering what had made the Throh lose his shit and the two got into a literal fist fight. It was ridiculous.

Over the sounds of the scuffle, a sudden burst of flame broke the two apart, literally the Salamence yelling at the two Fighting-types to cool their fucking jets before he picked up an empty Pokéball and chucked it at the incinerated Timburr.

it's hard to miss the throh as it runs at them only to tackle the milotic to the ground, looking to BIND the water-type. but a flick of its DRAGON TAIL sends the throh soaring back into a thrown pokeball.
