Naturally, this is a bluff, but only he knows that and he’s not about to say he’s just as clueless as you are. Who even is Fern Delaney? The story changes every time he opens his mouth to tell it. He breathes in the silent truth, and exhales a web of exaggerative events. He crafts a tale so harrowing and romantic and heartbreaking you might just shed a tear. Or call him on his obvious fabrications. It’s falsehood like each the documents and identifications he forges, but you need them in hand, so you humor his lies. At least it’s all quality. It’s imaginative enough to hold your attention as he places the finishing touches on your purchase and marvels at his handiwork with hummed approval. You hear nothing of stow-on-side and meager upbringings. You hear nothing of having to discreetly slip away because of one too many infractions. After a while, his lies become truth and each every tale is real in his mind. So who is Fern Delaney? Even he doesn’t fully know. [break][break]
