It was sometimes amazing what kids will leave out in their secret bases. Ash should know, he did the exact same. Until his twin asshole found them and stole anything that he liked. Oh, and never getting into trouble for it. There was a few things of interest, and luckily his Crobat, Bitty, was the right bat for the job. The red head dumped all the Pokemon outside the base, then cleaned it up. this was number three, and Ash kept a bag that had a small stash of things that could easily sell. Comics, any electronic device that he checked to make sure they were still running, plushies that weren't in too bad a shape, and so on. He was hoping to do two more before the day was out. But really, why hadn't the League put up volunteers or something to do this? Way to help your competitor...

Ash had stepped into the fourth base and spotted a woman with a litany of bug Pokemon. He still had Bones and Silky with him, plus Kraken and Fletcher. So it wasn't like he didn't have anything to handle them if a fight occurred. But considering she was cleaning up...why fight? Although...there was still Pokemon in there, and asleep too. Good plan...but should have just kicked them out right away. A Masquerain was just waking up, and was about to attack a Caterpie. Oh hell no! "Bitty, Cross Poison!" A purple blur would go right past the Vivillon and the woman to smack the Masquerain with a purple hued wing. It slammed against the wall, but it wasn't done. Bitty had to use Double Team to avoid an Aqua Jet, and smacked it again with Cross Poison.

That made it think twice, and retreated out the base. But the others were starting to awaken as well. "Get your game face on, lady, you really should have just tossed these guys out when they were asleep..." With that, he released Fletcher the Fletchinder to assist Bitty. He was ready to clean up her mess...

Dione had whipped around the minute she heard the boy call out the attack, hand went and grabbed the taser she had attached to her hip. But only paused as she saw him attacking the bug pokemon. It made her lip twitch- she didn't dump them outside cause this was their home. Even if she was supposed to kick them out, she had no real desire too. Fuck the league, she was having to clean up their mess, so why should we punish the pokemon for it? 

"Calm yourself." She said simply, then motioned to Fancy. The butterfly came to attention, her wings sparkling with the Sleep Powder as she fluttered by towards the pokemon, giving a harsh flap of her wings to send the powder back over them to ensure they were asleep. Going over to them, she looked over the sleeping pokemon. "You did not injure the other too badly, did you? I'll have to go check on it, otherwise." Voice was almost cold, but still a warm tone. This was a child she was talking too after all.

Sighing, she rubbed her eyes, making sure she put the taser away so the child didn't see she had been ready to send him into his Static Shock era. "Though, thank you, for you help. I will admit, I should have been paying more attention." Kid was right, she should have had Fancy watch them. "Do you want to help me move them outside? I hadn't planned on moving them, but hind-sight, I suppose."

"I am Dione... why are you here? Is this your base?"

Ash and his two Pokemon stayed still as she redid her Sleep Powder. As the lady spoke, she sounded cold. And Ash huffed and stepped right up to her to challenge her. "Lady, it's our job to kick them out and clean out these bases of human trash. And I don't have anyone that can put them to sleep en mass like you do. So excuse me for using voilence. If they decide not to retreat, then that's on them." Ash wasn't afraid. Even as he spotted a taser. Oh, Bones would have a hey day if she had used that on him. Her tune seemed to have changed some, but not because of his own macho posturing. Thanking him, she did admit that maybe she should have been paying more attention.

Gee, ya think?! Nodding, Ash backed off and started to pick up the wild Pokemon to dump outside. "If it's any consolation, they'll probably move right back in after we're done. But at least all the human trash would be picked up and more ideal a living space for them. I'm not completely heartless, you know." Then she introduced herself and asked him why he was here and if this was his base. Psht, yeah right! "I actually take care of my living spaces, so no, this isn't my base. I got commissioned to clean up some bases, kicking out any Pokemon that was inhabiting it in the process. I'm Asher, by the way."

He picked up several smaller pokemon and laid them outside in the bushes and tall grass. He also wasn't a complete idiot either...they would be vulnerable while asleep, all the better for predators to go after them.

Dione watched how defensive he got. It made her frown, how hard of a life did this poor child have to be this way? But who knows, maybe they just had a hard life. Remembering her own neglected childhood, it made her nose wrinkle up in disgust and her give a silent sigh. Oh well.

"Mmm, same..." 

Wait, they were both... doing this? This had her squinting, tilting her head curiously at the boy. "Who hired you?" She asked, not expecting an answer, but she was trying to make some kind of small talk with the little one. "You're probably right, they'll come right back." Which meant they had some kind of shelter at least.

"Good for you for taking care of your things, then. As you can see... others don't care as much."

Asher Baran

She seemed to understand him at least. Good to know she's not some barbarian. It seemed though that his comment piqued her interest. He...haden't been a full fledged Rocket member for long. Basically long enough to get his own room, a general layout of Slateport's Branch, and found out about consistant transportation to wherever he was needed. Still a kid, the number of jobs he was able to do was limited, but helping out around the base did get some good graces.

Still, he was on guard. "Didn't pay much attention to the person. Just saw the job and the pay, and decided to go for it." Ash hadn't met very many people in Rocket. Bee and Gavin for sure...but that was all that stuck. Well, he suspected BARNABY FINCH was a Rocket member due to a different job a long time ago. Anyways, until he saw her at a base or was specifically told that she was with Rocket, he wasn't going to do anything that would jeapordize him or the others.

Dione did seem to agree with him to an extent...not sure how much though. But her attemtp at small talk did make him cringe a little. Also, of course this was also the messiest base. "It wouldn't be so bad if they actually came back to continue to use it. Secret bases are nice in the way that they can be your own safe space, even if only for a while." And his evil twin bro made sure it was found...and "improved" after he found it. Ash wasn't a fan of the "improvements." After happening three more times, Ash was turned off of secret bases since his asshole brother was able to keep finding them somehow.

She seemed every bit as guarded as he was, but also just as unwilling to talk about it. Scrubbing a desk, he made sure to clean it out and take the drawers outside. Then he lot out his oddly colored Alolan Marowak that is Bones. The pokemon and him took the rest of the desk outside. It was still in...well, very good condition. And his place at the Rocket Hideout was pretty barren. Might as well keep it. Dione did a lot of the work...a lot of trash got put into bags and be ready to be thrown in a dump.

Looking over to her, he saw that...makeup? was running down her face? Really? who wore makeup out in the wilderness?! Well, evidently her. Still, he huffed about that. "Oh I'd argue that there are just certain people that deserves to be tortured for the hurt they bring to others for their amusement. And just happens to always get out of trouble..." He might have growled out that last part a bit. Since a certain evil twin brother of his came to mind. "So, it looks like we're...pretty well finished here? Unless you find another part of the base somewhere that hasn't been touched..."

Wiping her face clean, she stood up and dusted off her pants. Listening to the child, she could hear the venom in his words. Who had hurt him? Turning to look over him, the concerned look on her face was clearly there. Did... this child not have a home? That tugged her heartstrings, but she knew better than try to pity someone who did not want it.

"This was the only one I had planned today, so you're free to go. I'll take the trash to the dump." Going to start collecting the bags, she walked towards the exit. Checking on the pokemon that had been placed within the bushes. Before she finally settled her eyes on him. "You're welcome to come with me into town, I was going to get lunch. I could offer you some since you helped me earlier with the pokemon."

Ash had his back towards her, so he didn't see the look she gave him. But generally, everything went well. Seemed like this was the only one she had on her agenda. She gathered up the trash as he and his Pokemon looked over the desk. It was definitely in good shape. And he could use one other than that basic piece of shit in his room right now. The teenager did raise an eyebrow at the invitation. Well...free lunch...eh, why the heck not? "Sure. You lead, we follow. Oh, and I'm keeping this desk, in case you're wondering." His oddly colored Alolan Marowak took one side of the desk and Ash took the other. And off they went to a free lunch!
