The crisp morning breeze caressed Leilani’s caramel skin. She inhaled deeply; the scent of this specific forest always ignited waves of nostalgia. She was familiar with every plant, tree, and species that resided her. It made her heart ache at the thought that this land might soon be unrecognizable. Ever since the meeting just a few days ago, Leilani couldn’t rest easy. She had taken the first flight to Fortree and forewarned her mother. Her belly still churned remembering the look of fear in her mother’s eyes. They had come up with a plan quickly, taking everything of value and relocating her to Leilani’s apartment in Lilycove. With her mother safe, it at least eased the anxiety she had been feeling.

Leilani had found a quiet spot along the shoreline of the lake that housed the little island cavern. She had always loved coming here and admiring the mysterious dwelling. She had always dreamt of having a pokemon that could take her across the body of water, and while she had yet to acquire one big enough to carry her whether sea or air – she hoped to still have that privilege one day. She pulled the floral print gym mat she had been carrying underneath her left arm and unrolled it, stretching its length along the sparce patch of grass that was present right before it faded into sand. What better way to get her mind off the impending doom than a relaxing yoga session.

Even though Leilani was sure her mother would have been expecting her back to Lilycove as soon as she had finished sweeping her childhood home of any remining items of importance, but this was important. She needed to be here, one last time while she still had the chance. There was no telling of this would all be the same once it was all said and done – if life itself would still be remaining should the meteor have a devastating effect. She wore a black and white-striped active set, grateful for the long sleeves considering it was a bit chilly this fall morning. Her long chestnut tresses was pulled out of her face into a high bun.

She had already released her entire team. Forrest the Torterra was a bit of a distance away; Honey and Rose frolicking along his backside, preening and tending to his foliage as they chirped happily amongst each other. Blossom was next to her, unraveling her own little yoga mat to join in on the session. This was always one of her favorite pass times to do with Leilani and she never missed a chance to bond with her trainer. Brooke was splashing about in the little lake, in her own little world. Oliver kept to himself but seemed intrigue about what Leilani and Blossom was about to do. He kept a close watch with curious hues.

“Ok, Blossom.” Leilani pushed whatever negative thoughts out of her mind with a deep exhale. “Let’s start with some warmup stretches.”
