Fire & Poison Types.

A shameless, thinly veiled excuse.

Doug was looking for fire-type pokemon.

Mostly as a study of the typing, rather than a necessity of it. His tactical chatter with Aaron Toral had reminded him that at the end of the day, he considered himself a type specialist over anything else; and with bugs as his typing of choice, the threat of fire-type pokemon simply couldn't be ignored.

There was also the fact that he held a rather... tragic relationship with fire. dorian westcliff had seen to that. He needed to familiarize himself with the typing better and counter them more effectively...

The youth almost immediately cooed at the terribly dangerous centipede.

"Oooh, look'at'cha..." He muttered, enamored as he crouched low and held his head in his palms, broad grin on his lips. "Would love to take'cha home, but I can't be irresponsible..."

He had way too many pokemon as it were— Not to mention he already had a Centiskorch. Pokemon care wasn't cheap.

"Maybe next time, Big guy." He sighed, standing back up.
