He is coy, and outwardly genial, with a catlike grace and mannerism, though often lost in thought and unaware of his surroundings. [break][break] As an immigrant living in Hoenn, Carter has had to pick up work in addition to his studies to support his family. As a high school student, he was often caught getting into trouble, though simultaneously as capable in getting out of it and appearing contrite. [break][break] Though much of his early livelihood was lost in the Kanto wars, Carter has often commented that it 'did not bother him much', and that moving over to start a new leaf was a breath of fresh air.
