HOW-TO GUIDE

EXPLANATION

ON HOENN, MEMBERS ARE ALLOWED TO CREATE EVENTS FOR ALL PLAYERS. However, to do so, one must follow the guidelines outlined in this thread, communicate with shiv, and be mindful of the scheduled events that are ongoing or planned.[break][break]

Member-led events should be open to a variety of players and provide entertainment or plotting opportunities. Furthermore, players who run member-led events must support it throughout its lifespan and eventually seek its completion.[break][break]

Players who have continually been unable to wrap up events, provide them steam, or do not communicate with its participants may be barred from creating more member-led events.[break][break]

Please read through this thread carefully before creating a member-led event.

GUIDELINES

TO RUN A MEMBER-LED EVENT, please DM shiv on Discord or the site with the following information.[break][break]

• provide a description, in-character story, exposition and/or premise for and of your event.
• provide an explanation of how the event will function. any mechanics and systems should at least be in a state of partial development. examples include roll mechanics, mod posts, "genre" of event like mega threads or a tournament.
• provide a timeframe for your event.
• provide a number for how many people will be allowed to participate alongside any stipulations (e.g. rangers only).
• provide tentative rewards and the conditions for receiving them (e.g. these can be adjusted through feedback).
• provide any questions you may have (e.g. integration of lore or legendaries), including requests for graphics.
• the understanding that we will coordinate publication, the release, and announcement on information channels.
• a plan made to help sustain the event's momentum and progress from your side (e.g. announcements, moderation, etc.).
• anything else you may deem important or necessary to know.

Successful completion of a member-led event will award the player running the event a handsome reward dependent on level of preparation and upkeep required and the type of event it is.
