She had a tough upbringing but not an unfair one. Her father expected a lot and constantly strove to instill a good work habit in his young daughter. Bad grades often resulted in a scolding, and play ended with a stern "Isn't there something better you could be doing with your time?" [break][break]While his mission succeeded, it came at the expense of Fayne's childhood. She never learned crucial social skills, and as such, she often comes across as rude, judgmental, or even condescending. She's never afraid of speaking her mind, even if it results in someone taking offense. [break][break]Fayne's mother, on the other hand, instilled in her a love of adventure. She'd return home after months of travel, bringing with her stories of legendary Pokémon, forgotten treasure, and ancient history. Though these visitations were few and far between, they were enough to pique Fayne's interest in the unexplored and the unknown. She became particularly fascinated with evolution; specifically, item-based evolution. It wasn't until her adolescence that she truly found her calling with evolution stones. [break][break]At the age of 16, she enrolled in a Poké-science program at school which allowed her to receive a tailored education regarding Pokémon evolution, forms, and regional variants. At 18, she landed an internship opportunity in the Sinnoh region. For years, she has been studying both geology and biology as a means to learn more about evolution stones and how they alter the physical and genetic composition of Pokémon. Her internship recently ended, and so she has decided to return home to continue her research. [break][break]She dreams of one day discovering a new Eevee evolution.
