Elaine Highland
If anything, Elaine was glad to hear that her moment of unintentionally waxing poetic was not taken negatively. She was almost tempted to breathe a sigh of relief as she heard Brynnhildr affirm everything she had said. Yes, it was enough for her to breathe a sigh of relief and leave behind a lax smile.
"Volta, huh?" She had scarely expected that the first person she had talked to would be some big shot, even if it was from a company that had not been based in the region. Then again, given the kind of place she was in, it was hardly something that should have come as a shock. Though she was hardly some big shot, a vast majority of the people there were the rich and/or powerful or their friends come to rub elbows with each other.
But rather than pressing any further line of questioning on her career any further, she instead allowed the young looking vice president to continue on, leading to her pointing towards where she had seen seating arrangements prior.
"We all have our respective irritants." As she walked over to the seating arrangements with the young woman, she continued to speak. "I've seen too much from work that makes blatant superficial socialization like this place seem kinda...repulsive. Even this place is just only adds one more mask." Her right fingers, ran across the border of her mask.
"In a sense, artwork feels far more earnest, you know? Even if it's done for money or for some suit, there's still a piece of the sculptor's earnest soul within it."
