With the go-ahead so long as the creature could be transported, Gaultier tossed out the Elgyem he'd recently procured and allowed it to do the heavy lifting. Once it managed to levitate the sleeping Stakataka off the ground, the Elgyem teleported with it to the entrance. As long as the psychic type could handle it, Gaultier left the newfound creature in its capable hands.

"And if it turns out that there's nothing special about it anyway, I'd like to keep that pokemon in my collection if such would be allowed."

Was there any real purpose for it? Possibly not. Maybe the Kalosian native just wanted some bragging rights. As the crackling sound of Oscar being electrocuted caught his attention, Gaultier quickly rushed over to the beast's side. An electrical burn like that needed to be treated immediately. As he dug through his bag, he found what little water he had left and carefully ripped a portion of his sleeve off of his shirt. (It seemed his wardrobe had paid a heavy price today, but it was a necessary sacrifice.) Once he'd managed to dampen the cloth, the Kalosian took one of Oscar's hands and carefully wrapped the cloth around it.

"We'll have to get that treated once we get out of here. Hopefully it's nothing too serious."

Alas, the Stakataka made their return, this time much larger in size. Gaultier released his Falinks again and gestured for it to charge forward. Perhaps the fighting type could save them some time. As the troupe charged forward, a blue energy charged around them. With one coordinated leap, the Falinks came crashing down into the Stakataka as it performed dragon hammer.

Gerald’s attention was on the Stakataka as the three of them tried to deduce how best to go about it. It seemed his idea about paralyzing the thing was accepted. Unfortunately he had no Pokémon fitting the job.

However, the group was not given long. A loud explosion of electricity alerted Gerald to Oscar’s little accident. Only for him to notice the other Stakataka that were revealed.

Gerald’s eyes met with one of the Stakataka. The Ultra Beast seemed for a moment to be surprised that it dared meet its gaze. But that did not stop it from joining alongside the large one that Oscar had infuriated.

Gerald wasn’t one to step away from a fight. He joined the fray like Oscar and Gaultier hoping to buy some more time by summoning forth a Decidueye whose LEAF TORNADO would quickly mix with the rest of the battle.

Eyebrows raise into almost comically perfect arches when the Stakataka is teleported away after only her Rotom attempts to PARALYZE it. Given that electricity-induced paralysis is rarely ever total and given the size and general characteristics of the Ultra Beast, Ceri wouldn't be at all surprised if that monster breaks free and escapes the moment its taken to the rift. Oh well, what's done is done. No point in mentioning that now. Here's to hoping it won't cross through the rift and wander the desert killing everything in sight, but even if it does, it's not really their problem, right? They have bigger issues to deal with right now...

Oscar flinched as Gaultier came to his side, hurriedly treating a burn on his now exposed hand. "Huh, ain't that some shit." Oscar did not even notice the burn, whoch probably did not bode well for the nerves on his hand. Hopefully it was not too late for treatment. The makeshift bandages shall do for now.

All the more reason to get the fuck out quickly! Unfortunately, with all these stakataka it might prove hard to find an opening to escape. Gailtier and Gerald joined Oscar in battle, but even their combined attacks could not slow down the stakataka hoard. Well then Oscar had no choice, Ceri was 100% right it was time for something big!

Oscar flexed and yelled out, "Get ready to fucking bolt! Babadook, Splintered Stormshards!" Babadook howled, causing the cold ground around him to explode into chunks. Oscar hovered his hands together, waiting as the chunks of rock floated idle in the air. Babadook leapt forward, causing the chunks to turn and aim their pointiest sides toward the stakataka. When the timing was perfect, Oscar clapped his hands down and Babadook would lead the chunks in crashing upon the hoard.

The impact of the zmove was massive, causing an explosion that rocked the area violently. The ground beneath the group began to crack, and even the massive generator began moaning loudly. Oscar withdrew Babadook, exchanging him for his Dragapult: Razor. Oscar mounted his ride as the ground shattered further. "Either hop on or get your escape ready. We're leaving!"

With or without any extra passengers, Oscar began following Ceri to the rift.

It wasn't long until his Elgyem returned to him, seemingly emptyhanded. Gaultier's expression went flat because he knew what that meant. He'd placed orders with the pokemon to remain with the Stakataka he'd attempted to ensnare, so to come back empty handed meant the creature had failed with its one simple task. Gaultier drew the psychic type back into its ball and cursed under his breath with the promise that failure resulted in punishment.

He didn't have the liberty to think on just what that punishment was, ergo he focused on running. That meant also returning his Falinks to its respective poke ball. Ceri Glynn had suggested the explosion, and oscar clayton happily delivered. It wasn't long until the troupe began to run for an exit as things began to collapse around them. He couldn't help but give Gerald Kaiser an awkward apology at the whole situation. He kept his voice low in an attempt to keep his offer from any prying ears but the two of them.

"Apologies. We're both the same rank, correct? If it weren't for my Elgyem's failure, I would have happily shared in the riches of our find with you. Grunt to grunt."

He didn't know much about the man, but figured that some solidarity in their low ranks paired with not one, but two important Rockets, meant the two would receive the short end of the stick as far as reward went in their discoveries. Gaultier made mental note to return to this area once more. He'd set his sights on something, and he'd no doubt continue to venture forth.

They weren’t winning this battle. Even with their combined might the Stakataka was an overwhelming force.

Gerald was not happy about it. But he would join the group in running all the same after having retrieved his Decidueye into its Pokéball.

An apology came form Gaultier, though honestly Gerald didn’t know why the man felt the need to give it.

Don’t be sorry, be better…

Gerald wanted to speak those words in return. But he held his tongue. Figuring that antagonizing his fellow grunt would do him no good.

“Apology accepted.” Was instead the reply he went for as they ran. His eyes not even bothering to spare glances at Gaultier, choosing instead to focus on the surroundings to avoid unfortunate accidents!
