it is rumored that tatsugiris have been spotted in the safari zone recently. to a fishie connoisseur like theo, he could not sit by and not investigate the rumor on the off chance that it is true. he wants more shrimpies.[break][break]

so, dressed in his fishing gear, he ventures into the safari zone, finding a nice little lake in the far end, away and isolated from the rest.[break][break]

there, he sticks his bait onto the end of his hook, and casts it out.

nothing tugs at his line but that's just the way it is sometimes. he's used to sitting around for hours waiting for something. it's part of the art of fishing.[break][break]

what does tug, however, is a wild darumaka. it pulls on the back of his shirt hard enough to pull his attention away from the little lake.[break][break]

"hello there."[break][break]

while not awfully fond of fire-types in general, he does make an exception for the darumaka when it decides to join him. it sits next to him and watches the water.

after a while, the darumaka taps him on his shoulder, then points up at a floating chingling above them.[break][break]

"it's not a fishie."[break][break]

but it is something he doesn't have. for that reason and that reason only, he deems it acceptable to capture.[break][break]

so, after a nod at the darumaka, the fire-type's INCINERATE brings the chingling down into the safari ball.

pancham are known for being SCRAPPY fighters, eager to prove themselves, and this one is no different. it approaches, pointing at theo to issue a challenge.[break][break]

"not me."[break][break]

he nudges the darumaka next to him, urging it forward which it reluctantly accepts. it hops, preparing itself for a fight.[break][break]

pancham's huffs as it WORKS UP, running close only to fall for darumaka's TAUNT. with immese SUPERPOWER, the darumaka ducks down low to avoid the PARTING SHOT only to return with a swift hook to the gut.[break][break]

pancham slumps to the ground where a safari ball finds it.[break][break]

so close to being a panchamp but not today.

he can already feel a smile coming on as the water-type flops onto the ground. he frees it from the hook, gentle in the way he maneuvers to make sure it isn't hurt anymore than it it already has been.[break][break]

offering it one, he smiles as he watches it eat, eventually offering it a safari ball which it accepts.
