out of the blue, a ralts TELEPORTS atop stoutland's head, replacing the archen from earlier. the stoutland tilts its head up as though it would somehow help it catch a glimpse of the psychic-type but it causes ralts to slide down its back instead.[break][break]

the moment the ralts hits the ground, it TELEPORTS away, leaving stoutland barking in confusion.[break][break]

there is a lot of training to be done here, it seems.

theo is about ready to move on when his stoutland stops by a pebble on the ground. it sniffs curiously at it, refusing to move even when whistled at.[break][break]

"why?"[break][break]

because the pebble is actually a nacli, a paldean pokemon he does not recognize. so he pulls his pokedex out and scans the pokemon, reading up its details before deciding it is of use.[break][break]

"good boy."[break][break]

it BITES down the nacli enough for a pokeball to consume it.
