HELLO, EVERYONE! We're entering our 7th Arc on Hoenn! The setting and timeline will be updated to reflect this. Stay tuned as we explore the year of the dragon (or draconids?), while the site narrative brings Hoenn closer and closer to unparalleled dangers.

JCINK OR PROBOARDS? We're currently deliberating upon this potential move to the Jcink platform. Jcink has several tools that allow for automation of staffwork. Of course, it also has the added benefit of more mature content being allowed. Still! Nothing is confirmed. If you have any thoughts or opinions, please let me know!

hoenn is inspired by, but not associated with nintendo's pokemon franchise.

skin is created by pharaoh leap with graphical help from red. we would like to thank leap and meulk for their additional templates (staff temp, custom pc).

next, garden/swarm spawn, ranger raid, black market, pkmn contest post templates were coded by ulla.

teal has created the wild spawn, endeavour list, league card, exhibits. he and spiral also created the gachapon script, while the former created the gachapon template.

loreq has assisted us with many quality of life changes on site involving coding fixes, plugins and more.

lav has coded in UI accessibility features on Hoenn (cogwheel icon on the navigational sidebar).

characters belong to the members who write them, and all posts and templates on site are credited to their respective authors and artists. we claim nothing that is not ours. thank you for stopping by.

SYNOPSIS: the hoenn league has successfully diverted the 99943 meteno meteroid into an alternate universe. consequently, the region has experienced a violent planeshifting, a bombardment of terastal crystals, and now sports various rifts to realms in the ultra wilds. as megalopolan activity begins to rise, trainers who embark in expeditions to these realms uncover secrets behind the condition of the multiverse.
meanwhile, team rocket and the league amass resources to aid in their conflict against each other. the crime syndicate is poised to take more of the region territorially, while the league ponders a direct offense. legendary pokemon roam the region as potential benefactors or ruinous omens, leaving many to ponder how the hoenn region will ultimately be responsible for the end of all worlds.

oldale was one corner of hoenn he seldom visits. it's out there on the more silent side of hoenn, but at the same time, it's oddly the one that he finds the next most nostalgic place.

probably because it has a lot of similarities with verdanturf.

with the icelands happening, the comparison just seems more apt. the only difference being that verdanturf's destruction was seemingly patched up within a few weeks or so of it happening. with this part of oldale's forests, there's no clear time for the repair to happen.

still, kyle was curious. he visits the area, trying to see if wildlife had adjusted to it.

an avalugg naps on the corner, it's natural icy shell making it blend seamlessly with the surroundings.

ice had frozen all over, and he supposed that it's only natural for ice-types to congregate to a new settlement. after all, shoal cave was just a bit stuffy for them.

which brings him to wonder how and where some of these pokemon migrated from.

kyle continues to walk around, tiptoeing around the sleeping beast as to not disturb its peace.

the encounter lines up after he had just evaded the sleeping beast.

kyle finds round eyes staring at him as soon as he got out of the avalugg's range. it's curious, but not stupid enough to go in at an intruder blindly. it's cautious, but brave enough to stand its ground at the face of a threat.

the champion decides he wants this pokemon.

a pokeball snaps from his belt, releasing a mightyena. the frigibax quickly turns tail, as what kyle had expected it to do from its demeanor. it meets a yawn from the dark-type however.

kyle decides to chase with his mightyena, with his pokemon managing to catch up soon. just as it reaches it, the frigibax falls into the ground, having fallen asleep with the earlier move.

he drops a pokeball at it in an attempt to catch it.
