A Shellos had somehow gotten past the Sunflora and was now headed towards the berry plots. The Grass-type let out a cry of distress—thankfully, there was a Tsareena around. Alexei wasn’t too far away, helping to tend the ground near the sunflower patch.[break][break]

“Catherine, take care of whatever’s headed towards the plants, can you?” he said without looking up as he continued to mulch the ground around the sunflowers. The other Grass-type then wandered over… and was alarmed to see a Muddy Water attack attempting to inundate the garden![break][break]

A quick lashing movement from the Tsareena, a sudden Power Whip, cancelled out the Muddy Water attack which caused it to wet the dirt instead. Not wanting to risk another flood, a second Power Whip lashed out on the Shellos, further preventing any additional movement towards the Berries.[break][break]

The Shellos then decided to get up close and personal with a Body Slam, only for the Tsareena to cancel the incoming attack out with a sudden Trop Kick, catching it clean in the face before sending it landing close to where Alexei was still working.[break][break]

“Oh, nice… I know someone who would want this,” he remarked as he dropped an empty Pokéball on top of the Shellos.

For some strange reason, there was a loud yowling noise coming from the garden where he was watering the tulip bulbs that were… still stubbornly refusing to grow.

Yeesh, what was he doing wrong?

Sighing, he plucked a random Pokéball from his pocket at random and threw it behind him while saying the words, “Deal with that, but don’t overdo it. I know someone who would appreciate that…” and continued to water the plants.

The red beam of light transformed into Gareth, his Gallade—who promptly used Shadow Sneak to pin down the angry Meowth in its tracks. A sudden yowling noise resulted from the Meowth as it managed to break free—wait, how was that possible—and began to club at the Gallade in a very rough-and-tumble Play Rough attack.

The Gallade let out an exasperated noise, before letting the Meowth attack him—and eventually unleashing a point-blank Psycho Cut attack once it had gotten way too close for comfort. Another loud yowling noise came from the Meowth as it threw all manner of change and whatever sparkly coins at the Gallade.

An attempt at Pay Day was lobbed at the Gallade, before a second Psycho Cut caught it by surprise, sending it flying before it landed close to where Lars was now tending the garden.

“Okay… what the hell?” he sighed, before throwing an empty Pokéball at the Meowth.

Adam had happened to pass by this garden and—and caught sight of something gleaming in the late afternoon sun. He had to do a double-take as he realized what it was—it was a Pokémon that looked like a sword!

Looking around the garden, it was abandoned—he didn’t see anyone else around. However, the Honedge was coming too close to what he recognized as Berry trees and quickly sent out his flaming rabbit.

“Go take care of that—try to get it in one shot if you can?” he added a few moments later as the Scorbunny raced into the garden proper.

As the Honedge was getting ready to cut down the Passho tree with its sharp, shiny Sacred Sword—a sudden Flame Charge from the Scorbunny diverted its attention, causing it to chase after the Fire-type instead.

“Careful!” he shouted from outside the garden’s boundaries, so the Fire-type stepped on it with Agility, speeding away as the Honedge came in for a Fury Cutter attack. Turning around on a dime, another Flame Charge caught the blade Pokémon square on the surface before forcing it to crash down.

A third Flame Charge was enough to put it out of commission, before Adam plucked out an empty Pokéball and threw it at the downed Honedge, hoping to capture it.

“It’s no axe, but it’ll do.”

Adam is catching the Honedge!

How did he find himself so far inland? It was—strange, really.

The sight of a Poliwhirl made him come to a stop, though. He had a feeling that the garden belonged to someone else, however the Water-type looked absolutely ready to demolish the garden…

“Go,” was all he said as his Grass-type, the Meganium emerged from a red beam of light. The Water-type then saw that they weren’t alone, and then charged right at the Grass-type with a Body Slam attack.

She was faster, though.

One Petal Blizzard attack later, the Poliwhirl was teetering on its feet, but she wasn’t going to stop there. A Magical Leaf attack followed not too long afterward, and before the Water-type could flee, he threw an empty Pokéball.

The way the verdant greenery had overgrown around the place, the trees that were still hanging ripe with Berry fruits ready for the—

A flash of movement caught his eye, before spotting a…

There was something hanging close to one of the Berry trees, and it was… very concerning to say the least!

One red beam of light later, a Lucario appeared next to Lars. Much as he wanted to send out Gareth to handle this, he figured—someone else with more finesse was more suitable for this.

Not a moment too soon, because the Komala opened fire with a Wood Hammer attack—how could such a tiny Pokémon know such a powerful Grass-type move?! That was—

Well, shocking.

“Take care of it for me, will you, Alph?” he asked the Lucario. Said Jackal Pokémon made a face his way, but nodded; firing up a smaller-sized Aura Sphere and aiming it precisely as another Wood Hammer attack lashed out at them.

The surprise attack from the Komala never had a chance as the small sphere of auric energy went straight for it, like a homing missile and knocking it out of the danged tree.

“Well…” he muttered, dropping an empty Pokéball on the caught-by-surprise Pokémon.
