In the weeks that succeeded Kyurem's attack, the subzero tundra left in that monster's wake had become a habitat for several Ice-type Pokémon that weren't bothered by the cold. Was there even a point in still calling them the Silent Icelands when the place was teeming with new life?

Eager to study this mini-ecosystem that had formed in this once verdant area, Andrea donned her winter coat over her usual attire and went exploring the icy wasteland for any signs of wild critters. She held her darling Fuecoco close to her chest, its natural body heat keeping her warm.

An ominous silhouette loomed behind them, obscured by a snowstorm. It was a Crabominable, and it was cranky. It tried to pummel the costumed human with its big, meaty claws. "Eek! Jalapeño, use Flamethrower!" The girl yelped. Her Fuecoco obeyed, exhaling a steady stream of fire that, while not enough to KO, gave them a time window to run away from the frosty beast.

Just when they had gained their distance from that wild Crabominable, another roadblock stood in their way: A portly man with a bushy mustache, a Galarian bowler hat and a cane made of ice. He started dancing for no reason, and then he left for no reason. Andrea's beady-eyed look of confusion mirrored her Fuecoco. "Well... That happened."

Through the raging snowstorm, the young PokéManiac vaguely made out the outline of a dragon with a frozen snout. "Kyurem?!" No, this one was much too small to be Kyurem... It was a wild Arctibax.

"Looks like this will be your first real battle. Are you ready, Jalapeño?" Andrea's Fuecoco showed his readiness by Yawning at the opponent's face. Confused at first, the icy dragon Focused its Energy, and then exhaled a Dragon Breath that hit the poor crocodile for critical damage. "Oh no, Jalapeño!" The dragon-hooded girl cried out in worry, as her Fuecoco laid on the snow with swirly eyes.

However, its earlier Yawn had made Arctibax drowsy. After having unleashed its powerful move, it drifted to sleep, a big snot bubble coming off its frozen nose. "Alright, here goes!" Andrea threw a Pokéball at the sleeping critter, hoping for the best.
