Little did he know his boyfriend was somewhere around in the Safari Zone, too—otherwise they might’ve come here together and looked around the area at the same time—though it was a shame they couldn’t time or coordinate their visit together.

The very first encounter had very nearly landed on his face had a last-second screeching noise from Carina, the Ribombee, had warned him to come to a stop before the Milcery literally came crashing out of a tree—why did it… huh?!

“You’re so cute!” he enthused as he held out his cupped hands, watching the Milcery make the cutest little noises… while the Ribombee regarded it with utmost disgust.

The angry angy angery buzzing noises from the Ribombee riding on his shoulder drew his attention.

“Carina! Why are you so jealous?!” he admonished the dual-type, to which she huffed.

But then again, the Milcery hadn’t done anything heinous to them yet, and wasn’t even doing anything, so… the combined staring powers of both the Milcery and Alex were more than enough for the Ribombee to relent and spin together several yellow Pollen Puffs, before flying over to where the Milcery was and literally dropping the entire load there for the other Pokémon to snack on.

“Oh, come on, Carina,” he continued to chastise the jealous dual-type, while the Milcery began nomming on the sweet sugary treats.

Clearly the other small Pokémon was tired or something (or looked to be on the verge of a sugar collapse) because right after all of the Pollen Puffs disappeared, the small Pokémon promptly passed out in his hold without any sort of fight.

“See?”

The next thing that appeared afterward—well, it was something he already had the fully-evolved form of.

To be fair he was only here for three particular Pokémon, but then again he knew how much Elisabeth Fiorelli loved her own Roselia so… he’d be making exceptions to this trip this time.

(This was even if he already had a Roserade of his own.)

He then let the Flabébé dance by on the air currents, turning towards another part of the Safari Zone to continue his searching.

Wait, he already had this one, right?

A quick backtrack through his tattered compilation of ‘notes’ on his PokéGear showed that—yes, indeed he did have a Karrablast already.

Hilariously, it was the other companion Pokémon that he apparently didn’t have… if his notes were right, at least.

He then left the Karrablast alone and continued his hike deeper into the Safari Zone—he was legitimately running out of time…

The next thing that came trundling across his path was a—

Oh, now this reminded him of Elisabeth Fiorelli, only it was the normal version and not the shiny one that she wanted him to shoot down during the one time he paid a visit (and horribly missed).

Before he could blink, though, he recalled Carina the Ribombee before a loud, angry roaring came from the skies and a peppered burst of Flamethrower came screaming down on the Roselia that had unloaded a burst of Toxic fumes that were burned on impact.

A surprise Extrasensory burst of energy caught the Salamence off-guard, however a Rock Slide brought that to a crashing end—

And another Safari Ball chucked at the dual-type, caught under the rocks.

The next thing to cross their path literally came screaming out with a surprise Aqua Tail attack, drenching one side of Alex’s arm and causing him to back away a few steps out of shock and surprise.

“What the f—?!” he exclaimed as the white blur then rocketed back, this time in an attempt to Tickle… him?!

“Wha—oh, oh no, not me!” he wheezed. Because why was he being attacked instead of the—holy shit, what was happening here?!

The Minccino continued to Tickle him, and all he could do was wheeze and try to stay upright because holy hellballs he did not want to be at the mercy of a—

A loud roaring noise then caught the Normal-type off-guard as it walked straight into an electrified maw from the Salamence that came in screaming down low, Thunder Fang putting a stop to any further tickling shenanigans—because the Birdfather™ only deserved to be tickled by none other than his partner Guillermo Marceliño.

Once he’d recovered enough and hiccupped himself back to some semblance of seriousness, he then chucked one of his last two Safari Balls at the Minccino, who was… currently done a Cora by Gabriel—the Salamence had legit shaken the smaller Pokémon in his maw like a chew toy!

Clearly he had no idea how to tell most Pokémon were male or female—in some cases there were glaringly obvious ways—alas Sprigatito wasn’t one of those Pokémon.

But either way…

The moment he saw the cat jump out from the undergrowth, he was quick on the draw to snap a picture and send it to the Frog himself!

‘Hey, look at this!’ he then sent the picture to Guillermo Marceliño, along with the surprised Grass-type that blinked up at him—just in time for the Salamence to come screaming down from the skies with a Flamethrower attack—met with a Petal Blizzard from the small feline!

Whoa. Scary cat.

The draconid roared, the feline yowled, and they continued exchanging attacks, throwing more flames and flowers at each other the longer this went on.

Eventually, though, the feline was overpowered by the heat haze, and he threw his last Safari Ball…
