[attr="class","starrytext"]a water-type? he'd casually walk past it. making a left turn. leaving the brionne to its on device, he'd casually stroll about the mountain. searching for the gible he'd been on the hunt for. but what he found was not a gible, but something better! the entrance to a cave. he wasn't sure what resided inside of it, but maybe something good would come from the exploration? he'd enter soon after.

[attr="class","starrytext"]he'd come to step upon something. underneath his left foot he felt something cause it move up, then down, up, and back down. he wasn't sure what it was until he looked. low and behold, it was the gible he'd sought after for so long. "ah. . ." mateo stared for a moment. he wasn't sure how to exactly react until it hit him once he saw his necklace sticking out of the dragon's mouth. "you--!" he'd step on the gible, waking it up and pinning it down as it tried to escape.

"you're not going anywhere!" the gible, then, attempted to dig. but mateo wasn't having any of that, so he clobbered it not once but trice. "i've chased you for a long time for that necklace, now give it back!" snatching it away, he'd drop the childish dragon. "stealin' is bad and if you do it again i'm gonna sick an even bigger dragon on you!" the gible produced a teary-eyed look, as if he were attempting to utilize some move to win sympathy.

"oh come on, you've got to be--you're a dragon, dragons don't cry?! they yell--yell!" he exclaimed. the gible, frightened, took a step back. he merely wanted a friend and the gible began to explain his reasoning for picking on mateo. mateo wasn't some master at poke-speaking, but it in his people's nature to "somewhat" understand the speech of a dragon-type. he was in no way a pro like his mother or father, but he understood the gible a little bit. unlike dragonite and goodra, it would take sometime to understand gible a little more.

"tch." blushing, mateo's eyes jolted to the side. "i-if you're lonely or something, then why not just tag along with me? you won't be lonely, but you're gonna have to pull your weight. meaning you're about to get the ultimate workout package, because we've got to whip you into shape if you plan on being with me!" taking out a pokeball mateo would hold it in front of the gible. "once you're in there's no going back, meaning you're not allowed to leave me like a butterfree ditching its trainer for its female counterpart!" mateo yelled. of course, it personally didn't happen to him. but he remembered seeing something like that on television.

regardless, the gible did wish to become a big dragon. this was the perfect opportunity. pressing the button upon the ball, it would accept mateo's offer, choosing to venture alongside its newfound trainer.
