Vanilla stepped foot onto the route with Proxi hovering beside her, his cell phone body capture a good majority of their trip together with photographs of...pretty much anything interesting. it could have been a cool looking rock and he would have snagged a shot of it. Speaking of which, she had come to the waterside route in search of a little sightseeing tour. The aspiring training let out a soft yawn, looking out towards the seashores nearby and roaming around as her feet hit the sand below. "This definitely beats sitting in the kitchen all day. We should take breaks like this more often!" The girl peered out to the waters around, keeping an eye to see if she could find any interesting looking Pokémon. It did bring her back a little back home, though Vanila would be hard pressed to admit that to anyone but SPECTRA.

She wondered if there might have been a extra fishing pole nearby to try her hand at fishing, or maybe a way to get out and surf around in the water. She wanted to do so much, but with so few tools available to her now, all she could do was to wait for later. A brief look went to SPECTRA, pointing at one of the empty poles lying about. "We probably shouldn't. That doesn't belong to us. I heard fisherman will chase you down if you so much as touch their rod without permission first." A pout replaced the look on her face all but briefly, before then being replaced by an more adventurous smile. The two wandered about, ready to see what kind of trouble they could land themselves in.

It was starting to hit the muggy summer season in Hoenn. This meant little to Evie other than needing to wear cooler clothing. But it did give her a chance at ingredients not usually found in the winter months. She only bought organic and local, she had a lot of respect for what she did after all, so only the best of the best would do for her little slice of Sootopolis.

Today that meant a shopping trip to one of the small farms off Route 115. There was this tiny farm up past the city that some of the best Kelsey plants in the whole region.

But a trip out there always meant a stop at the beach. While the strip of beach here was tiny it was clean and lovely. Chainmail shook his little dragon tush as he charged out into the surf, sand being kicked up behind him.

The Bagon was so excited to hit the water he didn't notice the other person he was kicked sand at. Sorry, Vanilla Kingsley.

"Chainmail!" Evie called, coming closer. She frowned as the pokemon ignored her, too busy hopping over incoming waves. "You come over here and beg forgiveness right now!"

She clicked her tongue and pulled a small cloth from her bag. The soft satin kind that was engraved with a small EJ in the corner. It was offered to the girl.

"I'm sorry about him. He didn't get sand in your eyes, did he?"

The sound of footsteps coming closer caught the attention of Vanilla, who swung her head over towards the incoming noise just in time to spot a tiny little Pokémon scrambling over towards her. With a cute little blue body and a weird horn thing on his head, she would have thought he was the most adorable thing had he not currently been charging in her direction. She moved to the side to avoid the dash, but received a face full of sand for her trouble. She floundered, trying to get the sand out of her eyes as Proxii moved about. "Vanilla! Are you alright? Did he get your glasses!" The Rotom Phone growled, looking out to the swimming Bagon. "You come back here and try that again you little-"

He stopped, looking at the red haired woman that had drawn nearby. Vanilla continued to get the sand out, opening one eye underneath her glasses to see her extend a handkerchief out. It was taken gratefully while Proxii faced the woman. "Chainmail, huh? So you're his owner?" his screen flashed a pair of angry Rotom eyes at her as the smaller teen managed to clear out the sand finally. "You oughtta be more careful! What if he had run into her? I should-" he stopped, Vanilla covering his speaker with one hand. She cast an apologetic glance at the other woman, holding a hand back to hand over the offered handkerchief and then poking at her Rotom phone as it grumbled to itself. She faced her partner and began to use sign language to him, though still mouthing the words to herself.

"Anyway...She said "thank you for the handkerchief." Vanilla gently took the phone and pointed it at the playful Bagon, pressing a button on the side as a more robotic voice droned on.

Bagon, the Rock Head Pokémon. Bagon harbors a never-ending dream of one day soaring high among the clouds. As if trying to dispel its frustration over its inability to fly, this Pokémon slams its hard head against huge rocks and shatters them into pebbles.

How very hardy of his species. Vanilla smiled still, extending her hand out for a shake. She cast a look to her companion as he spoke up, albeit a bit grumpily. "Her name is Vanilla and I'm her assistant, Proxii. It's...nice to meet you."

Evie raised a brow at the antics of the little phone, not that intimidated or bothered by the vitriol thrown her way. It anything it was amusing. After it seemed like the girl was okay and introductions given, Evie took back her handkerchief and tucked it away in her bag.

"Evie, nice to meet you." If an unusual meeting, Vanilla Kingsley seemed unoffensive and tolerable so far. Much like her namesake tended to be. "Hmm...." She flicked her eyes up and down the girl, scrutinizing.

"Have you been in Hoenn very long? It's not often people come up here unless they're tourists." Or unless they were in the know about that Kelpsey like Evie was.

Vanilla's smile started off as beaming as usual, although as the woman observed her for a while, she could feel the worry beginning to seep into her. Had she done something to offend her in some capacity? Did Proxii manage to find a sensitive spot that might have soured the conversation between the two. She fumbled around, her expression changing to that of worry for a moment before she looked off to the side one moment and discovered a pretty peculiar sight. A bird that had been one of the unfortunate victim of Chainmail's mad dash to get onto the beach. Proxii piped up again as the woman asked about their arrival at the region.

"We just arrived a week or so ago." The Rotom Phone chimed in, his owner walking towards the knocked out Pokemon and inspecting it. She whistled for Proxii to fly over, the phone quickly scanning the fainted Altaria as a chime went out, a robotic voice speaking,

Altaria, the Humming Pokémon. Altaria sings in a gorgeous soprano. Its wings are like cotton clouds. This Pokémon catches updrafts with its buoyant wings and soars way up into the wild blue yonder.

Vanilla looked around, unsure of what to really do for the poor bird before taking a pokeball from her cardigan and tossing it at the Altaria, its form condensing to fit inside of the ball. Proxii flew back towards to Evie, twirling around before showing his face again. "Vanilla's come to work on becoming a trainer and to work on her culinary skills. I'm working on being a RotomDex. As you can imagine, Hoenn's better off than Galar at the moment, kekekek~" The phone crackled, displaying a cartoonishly long grin as the Rotom buzzed about now that Vanilla had returned from tending to her first Pokemon catch.

"What about you? What brings you out to the Routes today? Does your Bagon need some fresh air too?"
