He had a point. She wasn't really in a position to be asking for anything else, considering what she'd just put him through. He might have physically come back to life easily enough, but that didn't mean it hadn't taken a massive toll on his mental state.[break][break]

Nomi approached Xerneas then, and nodded her head respectfully. "I was wondering if I could collect a sample from you. I've been meaning to run some tests on the Pokerus. Legendary Pokémon did not follow the same rules average Pokémon did. The effects of various energies on legendary Pokémon was something Nomi was trying to get a better grasp on, for SPECTRA. It could be all the difference in their ongoing conflict against the League and their Avatars.

His facial expression changes, he raises an eyebrow as he becomes much more serious. Xerneas looks to bryan, his expression remaining as neutral as ever. "What do you mean Pokerus? No he hasn't terastalized before." It was a fade he hadn't exactly bought into just yet, he did see the usefulness of being able to change a pokemon's type on a moment's notice. But he just wanted to see what others did with it first before he began to tweak with it.

He pauses as Xerneas also becomes curious, but Bryan shakes his head. "Will taking a sample bring any harm to Xerneas?" he asks. "I dont want any of this to end up biting me in the ass later. Or else, rocket or not, you'll be in deep shit with me." he warns her.

"Pokerus is a rare condition," Nomi explained. "An anomaly that shows up in some Pokémon. I've been trying to learn more about it."[break][break]
Nomi crouched down and rummaged in her backpack, eventually pulling out a sterile syringe and a collection kit. She walked over to Xerneas and bowed her head respectfully.[break][break]
"Would you be willing to let me collect a little bit of your blood?" She asked in a kindly tone. "It's a relatively painless procedure. I would like to run some tests on it, but anything I discover will be communicated to you first." Before I share with the rest of Rocket, her expression implied.[break][break]
It never got any easier or any less surreal, asking a favor of a God. Xerneas was a creature of immense power, otherworldly and ethereal, capable of countless miracles. Nomi wanted to ask it a thousand more questions about the nature of the universe, but she held herself back. An overly curious mind was not a good enough reason to potentially insult or aggrevate a legendary Pokémon.[break][break]

Right after Xerneas arrived in Hoenn, that Pokerus and breeder thing showed up...eggs were popping up everywhere. [break][break]

"Fine." He responds as he gives his blessing and Xerneas's gaze shifts from his avatar to Naomi "If wolf allows it then one will allow you to draw from the fountain of my life force." he says as he lowers himself down to give her easier access to his veins. [break][break]

Once she was done, bryan also lifted up the sleeve on his shirt as well. "Check my blood too." he says as Bryan's face turns a bit red as he tries to admit a truth to her. "I'm not the smartest person in rocket, so I need help when it comes to this sciency stuff and you seem nice enough.", completely forgetting the horrid things she had just done to him a few minutes ago. "See if you see anything weird in my own blood."

Nomi bowed her head in gratitude before Xerneas, then promptly knelt and jabbed her needle into its shining flesh. She made quick work of drawing its blood, deftly capping and labeling the sample before tucking it into an insulated pouch in her bag. "Thank you again," she murmured to the God, then stood and turned - [break][break]
Only to find Bryan right next to her, his sleeve rolled up and the bare skin of his arm exposed. Nomi blinked, surprised. His blush was also unexpected, and Nomi found that it softened his entire demeanor in a rather adorable way. She smiled up at him, expression encouraging. "Of course, I'd be happy to," she said, rummaging in her bag and pulling out another collection kit. "Comparing your blood to Xerneas's will be quite interesting, indeed." It wasn't something she had initially considered, but now that he'd offered it, the potential discoveries excited her.[break][break]
She was as gentle as she could be with him, given how she had just thrashed him quite thoroughly with her Pokémon. When she was done, she put his blood with Xerneas's, then clapped her hands together - a gesture of jovial finality.[break][break]
"Allright! Now it's time to take you to my brewery for all you can drink beers." She paused. "Thank you, Bryan. I appreciate you letting me do this."[break][break]
He's a good guy, she thought. Maybe we'll actually come out of this as...friends.[break][break]
The thought widened her smile.

THE BLOOD SAMPLE OF XERNEAS reveals more of what they already know about Pokerus:

a microscopic life-form that attaches to Pokémon. This is a mutualistic virus, meaning it benefits both host and virus. While infected, Pokémon are said to grow exceptionally well.
