What a funny-looking Voltorb. It appeared to be made out of... wood? It gleefully rolled around, minding its own business. What a great opportunity to ambush it!

"Go, Narcissus!" Leo sent out his Kirlia, which did a graceful pirouette. "Hypnosis!" The dark-skinned youth ordered. The Psychic type emitted hypnotic beams from its eyes that lulled the Voltorb into a deep sleep. The grunt threw a Safari Ball at the irregular Pokémon while it was vulnerable.

A Phanpy? Some would have found its appearance cute, but Leo wasn't interested in the little elephant. He wasn't very fond of Ground-type Pokémon in general. Why did they always have to be covered in dirt? Gross!

Leo's eyes were drawn to a Tirtouga crawling towards the nearest body of water, using its large flippers to move its body forward. This seemed way too good of an opportunity to not be an asshole. "Endangered species? Bah! That's just natural selection!" He scoffed, kicking the poor turtle until it was flipped upside-down.

Fighting back like a cornered animal, the Tirtouga fired a Water Pulse. Narcissus intercepted the attack and countered it with a Psychic, weakening the Fossil Pokémon even further so that the prideful trainer could throw a ball at it. Good thing the warden wasn't looking, because this definitely counted as animal abuse.

Moving away from the spot where he had bullied that poor turtle, Leonicio came upon an apple lying in the middle of the road. "That's strange..." Who would throw away a perfectly good apple? Picking up the doctor-repelling fruit, he dusted it off, and prepared to bite into it, when suddenly, a pair of antennae popped out of it.

"Eeyaaaugh!" Leo let out a manly cry, dropping the living apple onto the ground in his shock. The wild Applin promptly ran away, bouncing on its tiny body.

The young man stopped in his tracks. One last Pokémon stood in his way, its flamboyant appearance making his blood boil. "You!" He bellowed, his handsome visage twisted into a mask of fury. "How dare you remind me of HIM?!"

Without any remorse, he sicced Narcissus on the diminutive equestrian, Calm Mind-boosted Psychics chipping away at Ponyta's defenses. The Fairy-type horse fired a Psybeam in retaliation, but the Kirlia swerved out of the way like a graceful dancer, closing the distance between them in the blink of an eye, before delivering a finishing Draining Kiss.

Leo debated whether he should even catch such a contemptible creature, but his greed ultimately got the better of him. "Ugh, fine!" He huffed, hurling his last Safari Ball at the fainted Ponyta.
