Jalapeno poppers it is.

When the waiter came around, they promptly offered up their starting order, including the drinks. Felix opted for something sour from the bar - nothing too fancy, just enough to loosen up the bolts that kept him rigid inside.

"August misses you."

It was a sudden switch of topics, but before leaving he'd been forced to deal with the grumpy teenager's whines to see a miss illeana reyes again. Apparently, she made a better conversationalist than he did.

and where the statement might feel a bit sudden, she meets it with a bright smile.

"i miss him too."

felix might not be too much of a talker but his little brother? he goes back and forth with the scientist for hours. she's certain she remembers a few times where felix had even had to pull her away to go to bed once or twice so august wouldn't stay up so late chitchatting with her.

"do you think he'll still be awake when our date is over? i could stop by and say hi."
