Printed words only continued to get more jumble up the further the pressure continued, Naia found herself experiencing the onset of a budding headache. The distorted growl and ring of her familiar companion grew further as he was already out the door before she fully realized what was happening. With a heavy sigh, she'd slump back into her office chair, the weight of her body dipping it backwards as a hand reached for her glasses. She needed them out of the way so she could attempt to rub the bridge in-between her eyes and with just as fast as he had left, did her Indeedee return, bottle in hand.
To come having a psychic Pokémon intruding on your feelings could make one uncomfortable, but it was moments like this was she thankful of this. Once she shook a pill free, did she clear the cling of a newly procured glass of water upon her desk; he really did think of everything. Naia was begin to feel hopeless, from the constant headaches she wasn't so sure she'd be able to get everything done today and she sure as hell didn't want to see her mother's reaction.
As if it was a cruel prank, did her phone begun to ring, the contributor being the very source of her stress. "Good Afternoon, Mrs. Kayode." To most it could feel weird to call your own parent by their name, however to Naia this actually felt more comfortable; there was barely any affection between her and her mother in the first place. So this best described them, Boss and Employee. Another test, another errand, at least it wasn't connected to her dirty work. Or maybe not completely.
It was supposed to be a quick elevator down, talk to some grunts, get some files, and then back to her paper hell. It was probably why she went into autopilot mode, having her eyes completely glued on her phone and when that elevator sound rang she went to move. It unfortunately wasn't her stop, instead it was the floor that mainly housed board meetings, or potential new clients or in other words a floor that wasn't used too much.
It was jarring to suddenly bump into something hard, her eyes instantly jumped up to see a stranger with scars. Without so much of a peep she'd quickly take steps back, her eyes darting from the floor display, the stranger, and her Pokémon companion who seemed to be trying to convey it's apologies on behalf of Naia, and then shooting glancing at her. "Ah.. Sorry..." Her voice seemed to trail off as she'd take further steps into the elevator, keeping her eyes off from him as much as possible --save for the couple of glances.
If anything her looks seemed more confused and curious, her face only conveying it with the slight furrow of her eyebrows and with the small tilt of her head. She was doing her best to flip through the number of faces and people her mother told her to memorize, but currently she was drawing a blank. "Um..", hundreds of questions flash through her head before she'd finally land on one, "Where are you headed next?"
