She jumped down into the little gulley he’d dug with his body and planted her boot right in his gut with the full force of her weight behind it.

For a moment she contemplated giving him the people's elbow but worried about the chance for collateral damage (you know, herself).

[attr="class","samknoxw"]The pressure in her head is phenomenal, exacerbated by the Rift, her own current opinions on life in general, and the fact that she has the Head fucking Ranger currently beneath the sole of her boot. She grinds her heel into his gut.

“Oh, how the fucking turntables, baby,” she says, grin growing bigger, bigger, bigger.

(She doesn’t see the ice. Doesn’t notice the temperature drop. She’s adrenaline numb)

“If you could ask god a question what would it be?”

She kicked him in the head.

[attr="class","samknoxw"]“Oh yeah? Why’s that?” Cyg asks, and she’s manic, now, giddy and exhilarated and she knows, she knows something awful is going to happen. She knows she doesn’t just get to have this. She knows, she knows, she knows--

--she doesn’t care, enough. About herself. About her life. She’s barreling down this chute of self-destruction and she intends to take any Leaguers she finds along with her.

Lars sits himself up on his elbows and Cyg goes to lift her leg to kick him again but she can’t. She looks down and anklewraps of ice have melded her to the ground. She feels the cold, then, feels it searing through her leggings, crawling like fingers down the inside of her boots.

Instead of backing off, though, she doubles down, brain a red smear of aggressive static, falling to her knees-- she feels her Achilles tendons streeeeeetching-- on top of him, cocking one arm back and slugging him in the face.

“I dunno. Flip ‘em off, probably.”

Repeats the motion.

[attr="class","samknoxw"]He manages to block her second punch and Cyg doesn’t care, she’s already drawing back to slug him a third time as he’s scooting away. She falls forward with an aborted squawk, one hand in the dirt as he sneaks himself free, using the chance to lecture her.

“Stand up, then, sweetheart,” she says, struggling to do the same with her feet frozen to the ground-- though with the little bit of space between the two of them, the ice seems to weaken, and she can rip her legs free with loud fracturing sounds as the ice splinters and gives way. She kicks the larger chunks away, shakes out her already bruising fists, and grins.

“Let’s dance.”

Lightning quick she rips a Pokeball from her belt and hurls it at him, the Rillaboom within bursting forth from a blast of light.

[attr="class","samknoxw"]Feldspar flew at Lars, drum in one hand, mallet in the other. Lars released a Lucario to take the brunt of the attack-- the high horsepower brought the ape crashing into the bipedal canid, who slid back, feet digging furrows in the dirt. The Lucario grunted, reset their stance, and then returned the attack right in Feldspar’s face, knocking the Rillaboom back with a hadouken-like thrust of both paws.

Feldspar grunted, though his agility allowed him to keep his footing, knocked back and rising onto the balls of his feet and slamming one fist into the ground for balance. He stood up, roaring, and leaped into a spiral in the air, swinging his drum and baton around in an impressively quick acrobatics blow.

Cyg charged in tandem, ducking to the left of Lars to feint and cut back with a left cross, aimed up at his chin.

[attr="class","samknoxw"]feldspar's attack hit-- if she's had the spare braincell cyg would've been astounded with his prowess-- and the lucario's head jerked to the side, spittle flying. it was quick to recover with a myriad of punches that struck at feldspar's upper body. some he managed to deflect, but many landed with sickening thuds. to finish, the lucario back-sprung off the rillaboom's face, aiming to get space, but feldspar kept close, bringing his bass drum around in a brutal swing toward's the lucario's upper body.

cyg was not quite so quick as her rillaboom. she was driving on pure instinct, adrenaline fueled aggression clouding her mind. her legs went flying and she landed on her side with an oomf, rolling away and launching from almost all fours in a lunge at the head ranger, aiming to wrap his knees and topple him prone once more.
