Three months break, at the very least. It feels like forever since she's been sent on official Ranger duties. Ever since the dark patrol at Slateport Harbour, less missions had been sent her way at her request. Other than the occasional neighbourhood errand or dispute to settle, she'd mostly been holed up at home and keeping her head out of the waters. Hell, she'd even voted to skip the latest ranger meeting in favour of reading the newest book she had picked up from the store.[break][break]

Of course, she would read all the minutes later and actually thank her guardian angels that she didn't have to do any of that chummy congratulatory exchanges. Or deal with the supposed tensions over Razz Kingsman's new appointment and his previous dealings with Silph. Sure, she simply would have grabbed some food and watch the ladies fight things out, but when the conflict is started by the same few people at a time, it does get a little bland.[break][break]

"Sense anything, Ollie?" She breaks that thread of thought with a whistle for her buddy, a rare smile tugging at her lips as she watches him scrabble and rush back to her side. And as always, she'll offer him a scratch under the chin, listening to his growls and grunts in hopes of discerning some useful information.[break][break]

"Nothing so far, huh? It's all good, bud. We have a whole day ahead of us to check anyways."

Rick had joined the search party on a sudden whim. While he didn't know much about the famous athlete it didn't sit well with him knowing she went missing in such a treacherous location. Normally there would be a time crunch as the human body cannot survive without water for more than three days a large storm delayed the search party for a few days but hopefully it would have worked in her favor.

Upon arriving at the base of Mt.Pyre Rick summons Dawn his togekiss. "Okay bud I'm going to need you to give me a lift, is that okay with you?" Dawn coos gracefully unfolding his wings so his trainer would have a easier time getting on. Rick smiles swiftly climbing ontop giving Dawn a gentle pat to let him know he's ready to be airborne.

With an eager thrill Dawn lifts up into the sky. Soaring through the sky Rick is able to get an easier sense of his surroundings from this height. He figured that an air search would be the smartest way to go about it He notices @zahara from a distance. Assuming that she was also apart of the search party Rick figured they would have better chances if they worked together. He signals for Dawn to fly down lower and greets them when he closed the distance.

"Hiya, you apart of the Abby Strong search party? How about we look together, my name is Rick." He jumps down from Dawn with relative ease and offers Zahara his hand to shake and a friendly smile.

Ollie's wayward grunt alerts her to the newcomer's presence, her head turned to let her take in the sight of their attire as she numbly processes their words. Abby Strong? A search party? Her Absol bristles quietly, his icy glare a dare for them to take a step closer.[break][break]

Pulling her phone from her pocket, she realises that those are indeed details that she has missed out on the texted mission briefing. And with a pat on Ollie's head, it seems the misunderstanding is cleared up as he paws the ground and lets out a snort.[break][break]

"Zahra." She avoids tagging on any other pleasantries, simply weaving a smile as she takes his hand for a quick shake. "Found anything so far?"[break][break]

It'd be great if he has, but she's not betting on it.
