Finally he had arrived to Petalburg City. Rick heard great things about this city and he was eager to explore the renowned Petalburg Woods, it was the time of year where bug and grass type pokemon would be thriving. He was ecstatic about observing them in their natural habitat, there was just one problem.

Rick pulled out the map to Petalburg woods once again. After staring at it intensely his head slumps down. Rick didn't want to admit it, but he was completely lost and unsure which direction would take him to the woods. He sighs wearily adjusting the shoulder straps of his backpack. He rolls the map back up again and decides to continue down the current path, Rick figured that he'd arrive there someway or another.

Hearing some sort of commotion behind him, Rick saw it as a perfect opportunity to ask the stranger for some directions. What he didn't realize in the moment was that Aubre was with a dragonnite who Rick asserted to be flying in a strange manner. Realizing that he was in their way, Rick braced himself for an impact as he didn't think he could get away in time.

Luckily they manage to narrowly miss each other, however the sudden change in trajectory causes a strong gust of wind and Rick is knocked down onto the ground. He quickly gets back up, a few scrapes on his hands swiftly approached by the same trainer who voiced concern.
"I'm fine" He reassures her with a gentle smile glimpsing towards her knees. "How about yourself? that was a rough landing."

Rick had joined the search party on a sudden whim. While he didn't know much about the famous athlete it didn't sit well with him knowing she went missing in such a treacherous location. Normally there would be a time crunch as the human body cannot survive without water for more than three days a large storm delayed the search party for a few days but hopefully it would have worked in her favor.

Upon arriving at the base of Mt.Pyre Rick summons Dawn his togekiss. "Okay bud I'm going to need you to give me a lift, is that okay with you?" Dawn coos gracefully unfolding his wings so his trainer would have a easier time getting on. Rick smiles swiftly climbing ontop giving Dawn a gentle pat to let him know he's ready to be airborne.

With an eager thrill Dawn lifts up into the sky. Soaring through the sky Rick is able to get an easier sense of his surroundings from this height. He figured that an air search would be the smartest way to go about it He notices @zahara from a distance. Assuming that she was also apart of the search party Rick figured they would have better chances if they worked together. He signals for Dawn to fly down lower and greets them when he closed the distance.

"Hiya, you apart of the Abby Strong search party? How about we look together, my name is Rick." He jumps down from Dawn with relative ease and offers Zahara his hand to shake and a friendly smile.

initial impressions were fine. Having met them under unique circumstances Rick wasn't in a position to judge them. Rick nods as he figured they had wanted to know more about what he knew. "For starters there's an apparent vengeful pokemon that lurks throughout this land. It was a frightening rumor but Rick figured that's all it was - he also found it fitting given their surroundings.

His eyes followed to where Mei had pointed out, a look of surprise overcoming his features when there was in fact a boat docked not to far.
"How interesting, I'm guessing that somebody else had left it behind when they ventured here as well." It was the only reasonable conclusion Rick could come to, and he joins the rest of the group as they walk towards it.

However as they steadily started approaching the bank of the river, a sudden and thick mist rolled in. Causing it very difficult to see what was in front of him, Rick naturally gets separated from the group. His experience as a pokemon watcher enabled him to stay calm, stopping in his tracks so he doesn't get lost even more he starts calling out into the fog, hopeful that the others were somewhere nearby.

"Hello? Can Anybody Hear me?" Worst case scenario if no one responds he would need to rely on his pokemon.

What a beautiful world.

That's what it was in Rick's eyes, although people may disagree with him. Puffs of smoke from his cigarette swirl and fade into the clouds which surrounded the group. Bitter taste of tobacco soothing the prickling nerves he felt throughout his entire body.

He couldn't describe how he was feeling - both eager to research and nerves from what he didn't know. He's not lost in thought for long as someone in the group asks a question. "Not very familiar with those.." He pauses breathing one last puff from his cigar before tossing it and smothering it.

"I've only heard rumors, their vague but majority of them surround the south of this world. Figure that would be a good starting place to look." Luckily for the group they close to the speculated rumors all that was left for them was to investigate for themselves.

A subtle smile appears on Rick's face following Aidans introduction. "Likewise, Aidan Name's Rick."
