An evolution that transcends evolution: MEGA EVOLUTION!

DUE TO THE LEAGUE'S RESEARCH, the discovery of mega stone mineral veins and their refinement, certain Pokemon have unlocked the ability to bond with their trainers and surpass the limits of their form.[break][break]

Hoenn has developed accessories (e.g. mega ring, mega bracelet, mega charm) to act as the catalyst for MEGA EVOLUTION.[break][break]

The energy of mega evolution involves the releasing of all of a specific Pokemon’s hidden Infinity Energy at once.[break][break]

The Draconids believe that Mega Evolution originates from Rayquaza and various meteorites that rained down from the Hoenn region thousands of years ago.

GUIDELINES


PLEASE FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS below in order to procure your mega stones and to add your information to the list below. As a note, your site shop purchase of a mega accessory comes with the mega stone of your choosing.[break][break]

  • Your character must POSSESS A MEGA ACCESSORY to use MEGA EVOLUTION.
  • To acquire your mega accessory (which comes with a free mega stone), post in the SITE SHOP. Indicate that you are purchasing a mega accessory alongside which mega stone you would like.
  • Gigantamax forms from Sword & Shield have been reflavored as mega-evolutions. More details can be found HERE.
  • You can not pool poke from other characters to buy the mega accessory and stone.
  • You may only use mega evolution once per thread.
  • Currently, characters can only purchase one mega stone. You can receive more mega stones through events.
  • Illumina Pokemon or Shadow Pokemon can not mega evolve.

While mega evolved, pokemon unlock the following abilities:

  • The pokemon is cured of any previous status ailment(s).
  • The pokemon have their parameters increased by a large amount (flavour text).
  • The pokemon will possess their original ability alongside their mega evolution ability for a total of two abilities (subject to change).
  • Mega Evolutions are immune to moves and abilities that force them to return to their Pokeball such as ROAR and WHIRLWIND. They will still take damage from moves like DRAGON TAIL.

GIGANTAMAX -> MEGAS


GIGANTAMAX FORMS are also available on Hoenn as mega evolutions. In this setting, it has been discovered that DYNERGY, the energy involved in the DYNAMAX PHENOMENON had affected minerals deep beneath the earth a long time ago.[break][break]

Although these Gigantamax mega evolution forms lack their signature size/a mega's new abilities or typings, they do gain access to special G-MAX MOVES. Please note, G-MAX REPLENISH and G-MAX DEPLETION will be altered for functionality. Their edits are below:

G-Max Replenish: A Normal-type attack that Gigantamax Snorlax use. This move restores its personal health to full.[break][break]
G-Max Depletion: A Dragon-type attack that Gigantamax Duraludon use. DISABLES the last move used by the opponent.


G-max moves will function differently on Hoenn. When mega evolving, the Pokemon will gain temporary access to the move like a Z-MOVE instead of transforming a pre-existing move into a G-max move.

G-MAX MOVES CAN ONLY BE USED ONCE PER THREAD.

A POWER TO GO BEYOND: ULTRA BURST!

THE SURVIVORS OF THE BLACKOUT OF SLATEPORT have found that their Pokemon can undergo a special transformation.
[break][break]

This ULTRA BURST requires a specific trigger to activate. Like MEGA EVOLUTION, this change boosts their powers, granting them special abilities.[break][break]

Not much is known about this phenomenon but evidence suggests this power comes from ultra space. Some Pokemon seem to transform into an entirely different form altogether.[break][break]

Ultra Burst may be used to classify transformations that do not fall under the traditional mechanics available on Hoenn or in Pokemon.

COMMON TRAITS




  • you may only use ultra burst once per thread.

ultra burst unlocks the following abilities:

  • the pokemon is cured of any previous status ailment(s).

  • the pokemon will possess their original ability alongside a new one only found in their ultra burst form (subject to change).
    • [break]

  • the pokemon cannot be rendered unable to battle during ultra burst. any attacks, damage, or other situations that would render the pokemon unable to battle will instead cause it to revert back to its normal form in 'critical' health.
    • [break]

  • depending on the circumstance, the pokemon may have access to a different moveset while in ultra burst. these moves must be purchased in the shop and documented in your pc specifically for your ultra burst form.
    • [break]

  • pokemon in ultra burst mode cannot be copied by TRANSFORM. their abilities cannot be copied, replaced, or nullified.
    • [break]

  • pokemon in ultra burst are immune to moves and abilities that force them to return to their pokeball such as ROAR and WHIRLWIND. they will still take damage from moves like DRAGON TAIL.

  • gains the additional ability ATOM HEART NIHILEGO.



ATOM HEART NIHILEGO: When this ability is active, MOTHER BEAST NIHILEGO acts as a POWER SPOT, allowing TWO OTHER TRAINERS to use DYNAMAX in its presence even in locations where it wouldn't normally be possible.



  • MOTHER BEAST NIHILEGO's type changes to Poison/Ghost.

  • All attacks by MOTHER BEAST NIHILEGO have a chance of badly poisoning the target. They are also able to poison their targets regardless of type immunity or abilities.
    • [break]

  • When in Ultra Burst form, MOTHER BEAST NIHILEGO's body shifts across the color spectrum and can emit any type of light to blind foes. Its two primary appendages grow long and hard, and form large poisonous barbs. The black ichor surrounding its trainer will badly poison a target on contact if it is made to bleed.

  • When in Ultra Burst, MOTHER BEAST NIHILEGO and its trainer become one in both mind and body. Senses, pain, and emotions are shared between MOTHER BEAST NIHILEGO and its trainer. The trainer's positive and negative personality traits are both accentuated, and the combat capabilities of MOTHER BEAST NIHILEGO are strengthened. The trainer becomes immune to being poisoned.

  • Inside and outside Ultra Burst, other Nihilego and Pokemon native to or related to the Ultra Deep Sea see MOTHER BEAST NIHILEGO as friendly and will not attack unless directly targeted by it, even if ordered to by their trainers. This extends to MOTHER BEAST NIHILEGO's trainer during Ultra Burst, and with repeated use, may even apply to its trainer outside of Ultra Burst.

  • necrozma converts into a temporary form, DAWN WINGS NECROZMA, gaining the psychic/ghost typing.

  • regardless of how many moves it has learned, necrozma will have MOONGEIST BEAM accessible as a move for use. subsequently, this means necrozma will be able to use Z-MOVE: MENACING MOONRAZE MAELSTROM if applicable.

  • after dawn wings necrozma has expended enough energy or light, it will revert back to its original form.
    • [break]

  • with added strength and speed due to this new acquisition of power, zev can fire a powerful laser beam that burns everything in its path twice per thread instead of once.
