Last time Aidan had come to Slateport was for the beaches and festival games, some good ol' Mantine Surfing that he'll make sure to never forget and his favorite game of all time, the dunking tank. Today he wasn't here for fun and games though, he had a lifetime opportunity of interacting with a superior who was leagues above him in the Rocket ladder.[break][break]

Today's job was something that Aidan had grown used to from working along with the Sinnoh Syndicate, he didn't exactly enjoy the work but he had to show that he was willing to push his already broken boundaries. Making sure to arrive on time, their meeting spot in the outskirts. The job was simple but dirty, making examples of small-time thugs using the Rocket name for their own selfish reasons. [break][break]

Finally arriving at his destination, Aidan would try to look busy enough to not be suspicious, he had been wearing normal enough clothes to not really stand out. He was ready to break some kneecaps and fingers, hopefully showing good work to one of his bosses, perhaps even good enough that he'll be upgraded from runt into something more solid. After all, he had a feeling that this job in particular was likely to only be happening so that Aidan could be judged as a good Rocket member.[break][break]

Deep breaths could only do so much.

Dressed in an outfit cut from the darkest material left in his closet, the admin arrived no later than a few minutes past their arranged meeting time. Traffic had slowed the speed of his flight, and frankly, this mission warranted no urgency. It was no different than the grunt work he used to fulfill with mint frost or jayden cross, back before titles denoted the importance of their time to the organization.

But taking some time to work with those you support always paid its dividends.

"Don't look so nervous," were the first words he muttered upon his arrival. Attentive eyes swept over the grunt, gauging secrets hidden behind dull expressions. "Name?"

He'd forgotten it on the way here.

"Nervous!?" The word echoed and bounced his mind, he couldn't remember the last time he had felt this way, facing doom and death, facing godly beings and yet here he was nervous about meeting a man.[break][break]

Was he afraid? That couldn't be the only factor into this, did he think he wasn't good enough to be a Rocket member? Was this a natural reaction of meeting someone who was so above you and that carried the sheer presence of Rocket upon his shadows. [break][break]

"I'm trying not to" He'd say trying to regain some of his nerves, perhaps talking would do the trick. "Aidan Hereford" Not knowing how serious he had to be or if he could even try to break the ice, knowing himself Aidan he'd inevitably crack a joke and end up getting in trouble. [break][break]

"What's my task today?" Did he have to call him sir? God, he hoped not.[break][break]
