Thomas wandered aimlessly along the outskirts of Slateport City. Perhaps he was looking for trouble? Perhaps he was hoping to encounter some Pokemon that lived around those parts?

The hulking Scizor that accompanied him watched out for trouble. Normally, the Scizor was eager to get into a scrap. But for some reason, something felt off about his master today. He couldn't figure out why he was doing this.

A Toxic glob would come hurling towards Thomas. Ripper would step in front of his master to take it, allowing the glob to slide down his metallic body harmlessly. The Gulpin would attempt to breathe Clear Smog on the Scizor, to no effect.

With a single Bullet Punch, the Scizor sent the Gulpin flying off into the distance. The creature would land with a thud, being rendered unconscious upon impact with the ground.

"Good work, Ripper.", Thomas told the Scizor, before moving on.

Thomas would spot the glowing rings of an Umbreon in the distance. The dark Eeveelution would look at the trainer for a moment. The Scizor gazed at the Dark-type as well, ready to act, should he try anything.

Thankfully, the Umbreon scarpered off, without incident.

An Arbok, who had an unnerving look to it, slithered in front of the duo. The purple serpent coiled, readying itself for battle.

Ripper, eagerly taking up the challenge, lunged at the Poison-type with a Bullet Punch. The attack came too quickly for the Arbok to effectively Sucker Punch the armored insect. The Arbok hissed pain as the heavy metal pincer struck him in the face.

In retaliation, the Arbok hosed down the Scizor in his Acid Spray. Unfortunately for the Arbok, the acid only rolled off the exoskeleton of the red bug, who gave the Arbok a perplexed look, as if asking what that was supposed to be.

The Arbok lunged at the Scizor, attempting to Crunch down on the Pincer Pokemon. In response, the Scizor simply swung at the Arbok twice, smacking him with a Double Hit. The second punch caused the Arbok to drop to the ground, rendered unconscious.

"Good work, Ripper.", Thomas told the Scizor, tossing a Pokeball towards the fallen Arbok.
