Bright lights from the vending machine caused the alley way to look friendlier than it was. It was barely wide enough for two people to stand let alone for all the trash cans pressed tightly against the brick of Lilycove department store. It’s cheery jingle asking for people to put money into it was deafened by the wracking sobs coming from a mess of pink. Two small Pokémon crowded around the pile of pink trash as it quivered in outraged tears. The Gothita cooed as a small hand yanked it close to the sobbing mess.

“Can you be-be-believe” Sob, “that they called this out-out-out-” Harsh intake of air as a pale face emerged from the pink madness only to be revealed as a mop of messy fuchsia curls, “OF STYLE! They-they called me old!” She squeezed the baby Pokémon tightly in anger eliciting an “GooOOoth” from her companion. A dramatic sob erupted again from her face, which was still immaculate from using waterproof make-up. Libby had learned long ago to only apply waterproof. She was quick to cry, scream, laugh, anger, hunger, or love. Although she was consistently and constantly and continuously a spoiled brat.

She’d spent these last ten years miserably married to a farmer in a secluded stinky farm in obscure Hoenn. Her husband, or rather ex-husband, had been a hot drummer in the city, it was love at first sight. As in he fitted in her materialistic cool persona, she had built for herself. The fashionista with a leather clad boyfriend. It was the biggest mistake of her life. No money, no shopping. Cooking or cleaning was her life. She’d never touched a stove in her whole life. But, well she had done one thing right. Being denied money because of household budgets she may have done a little, slightly, teeny tiny very light crime. Libby had no choice but to join the only fun people in the middle of nowhere. Team Rocket.

Shivering in the alleyway the pink vibrant against the florescent lights of the city. It had been an easy decision to divorce and leave behind the farm. Team Rocket had allowed her to squirrel away enough to leave it all behind. Including the gang, right? It was just a bunch of small town thugs looking to make cash. Finally in the big city she was free.
