Tackle, crunch, Tackle, crunch, so the rhythm goes as the baby slowly learns the most efficient way to throw its body into something much bigger and tougher than itself, so the rhythm goes as the baby learns how to best hurt something else without hurting itself in the process. It may seem mindless and cruel, but this is how Xenon shapes her ideal future.

Finally the moment comes that Xenon had been expecting, a stray Pokemon wanders into her sightline, drawn by the smell of poison and the sound of crunching rock, curious as to what might be going on. "Alright Chromium, break time! You've beaten up that rock enough for the day, show this loser the fruits of your labors!" She sneers as the Beldum shudders with relief and turns to the wild Gloom, eye narrowing viciously as it prepares for battle. The Gloom too senses the change in atmosphere as it shifts back and points its flower right at the Iron Ball Pokemon. A bundle of Leech Seeds explodes from its bud and latches onto Chromium as it charges forwards, but there's simply not enough time for the parasitic vines to dig in as its body crashes into Gloom, knocking it over and leaving it wide open for attack as the Beldum tackles the downed Pokemon over and over until its completely knocked out.

"Man... that thing reeks." Xenon mutters as she wanders over, covering her nose with one hand while she draws her sword with the other and plants it firmly into the Pokemon's body. "Good job Chromium, I think I see another one coming this way. Probably saw the body and thought it would be an easy meal."

And so the next comes as an Amoongus wanders out from the smog, seemingly without hostile intention as it waddles right up to Chromium with a disarming smile. Xenon had a feeling she knew what was coming as the mushroom gets close up, but its for the best that the baby learns what betrayal is as the Amoongus suddenly strikes out with a Feint Attack right at its eye!

It doesn't hurt much as the blow bounces off the Beldum's steely exterior, but the emotional trauma still strikes it as what it thought would be a friend suddenly strikes out with such a vicious punch, tearing up a little as it lets out a piteous whine. Xenon sighs and shakes her head, while she knew it was basically a baby still and it should have been expected, she had been hoping Chromium would be just a little smarter about wild strangers approaching. "Alright come on now Chromium, get your revenge and lets clean this thing up." Its eye narrows furiously as it hears its partner's voice, throwing itself into the mushroom with a shrill roar. Tackle, crunch, tackle, crunch. Its surprisingly effective and brutal, maybe that powder the Amoongus scattered made things a bit worse for itself as the Beldum intensified its assault. Rage Powder perhaps? Well, it didn't matter all too much, the thing was dead regardless.

"Good job on your first kill buddy~ Come here!" Xenon crouches down and holds her arms open as Chromium rushes towards her and knocks her over with its affection, covered in goopy green blood as it lets out a slight trill and nuzzles into her.

The last to approach is much like Chromium itself, a newborn babe just venturing out into the world on its own. It crawls on the ground on unsteady feet, struggling to balance a berry on its back as it wanders towards what it believes to be a new source of food. What it finds are predators just having finished off their meal, tired things that couldn't possibly take it on. At least, so she thinks.

The Toxel stands on its hind legs and lets out a "mighty" roar as it spits up Acid all over the ground, the berry on its back tumbles down onto the ground and starts sizzling as it hits the superheated ground of the volcano. Xenon grins as she spots the little thing, pushing Chromium up and patting it on the side. "This one... this one we're keeping." The Beldum's eye narrows with determination and its body bobs in affirmation, this would be the real fight.

There's no prelude to this concerto as the two pokemon dash at one another aggressively, the Toxel spitting up another gout of acid and splashing Chromium with a sizzling hiss. It doesn't slow the future down at all as it charges right through the poisonous spatter and Tackles into the Toxel just like before, knocking it down to the ground to get ready for its usual tactic. But this time it would find just a bit more trouble as it rams its body into the baby once again, stray limbs Flailing about and slapping its steel body as they get into a rough and tumble brawl on the ground.

There's nothing graceful about this battle whatsoever, its two children rolling through the dirt and slapping their fists into each others faces until one of them gives up, its the most primal violence conceivable. Action without technique or thought, pain without experience, it ends just as swiftly as it began. The Beldum and Toxel lie down on the ground, exhausted as Xenon politely applauds the show that was put on. And then with a toss of a pokeball, the Toxel is added to the team. And her name shall be Polonium.
