He had been in an out of communication with his fellow rangers. Apparently more and more fires had been springing up around Hoenn. Being only a rookie and having nothing better to do he had offered to help put them out. He didn’t really have any water pokemon but that was what hoses were for. And if not that then he could just fill buckets with water and help to put them out that way.

it hadn’t taken much to get permission from his superiors. That was probably because they were requesting aid from civilians as well. And if civilians were helping out then someone just starting out as a ranger definitely could as well. Once he was given a location where a fire was he immediately headed out. The fire was located along route 119 and it was the job of rangers and civilians alike to stop it before it could reach Fortree. Considering he lived in Fortree he felt more strongly about putting it out than he normally did.

After grabbing a few buckets he got on Rook before flying towards Route 119. He flew over the flames to the lake and had rook dive down towards the water to fill both buckets before turning him around and flying back over the fire to pour the water over the flames. He did that a few times before landing to allow Rook a bit of time to rest. He didn’t bother returning the Corviknight though knowing he wouldn’t be pleased.

Since Rook was resting he decided to investigate how the fire had started. He passed buckets filled with water to someone else before starting to examine the area around him. Rook of course trailed after him making him stand out a bit since Rook was a large Corviknight.[break] Vanilla Kingsley
