"ah--" she tries to speak, but her parted lips stay agape while her eyes are blankly fixated on his face. how does she describe this... if arceus was an artist, then this man was sculpted by the gods themselves? it sounds so cheesy in her head, but it's more "romantic" sounding than "man hot, monkey noises". she doesn't realize how deep the red on her face got. [break][break]

his amusement comes at the price of her sanity, and her mind comes to a screeching stop when he even talks - but that's not the worst of it. no, no. the final blow was the kiss on her cheek. like that, any attempt to gather herself was flung out the window.[break][break]

"i-it's.. r-really nice to meet you--" she speaks, but it wasn't even the right response to his question. when she realizes, the red begins to tint her ears. "i-i mean..!" [break][break]

deep breaths, lilith. deep breaths. [break][break]

her hands raise to cover her face, until she can only gaze at him between the cracks of her fingers. "it's nothing..! i-i'm just--" [break][break]

she gazes up at him again, as though her fingers can hide the embarrassment. [break][break]

"... s-surprised that you're real..? a-and here-- oh my god--"

it's not fair that he can be so smooth, while she's out here looking like a mess. after all, he's actually here? in front of her? and oh my god, he's actually sitting here, in front of her, and she has a date with him? someone, pinch her, she's dreaming. [break][break]

it's anxiety that makes her face flush such a deep shade of red, and maybe a little bit of the summer heat? it's okay, though - she just needs to take a little bit of time to calm herself down. she'll be good as new if she could do that. [break][break]

her face remains behind her hands until the gentle touch of his hand meets her knee. lord help her, she felt her heart pounding just a little bit more, but she makes more of a conscious effort to soothe herself when she realizes that he's just trying to reassure her and calm her nerves. lilith takes a lock of dirty blonde hair between her fingers, idly fiddling with the tips of the strands. it's when she can lower her hands from her face, and instead turn her gaze, slightly, to get a better look at the man who so intently look into her eyes. oh god, focus on what he says-- [break][break]

the little story helps to alleviate her mood, at least. it prompts a small smile on her lips, followed by a chuckling "pff-- but did it work?" as her drink comes by, shortly after. the bright, yellow drink is still chilled, and its cooling touch is refreshing against her skin when she raises it to click glasses. then she takes a quick sip, and hums with the same smile. [break][break]

"cause.. i would have taken you out~. immediately." yes, the alcohol and humor will help her ease her nerves.

older men always had a way with words. [break][break]

not that she complained. it was always funny when today's slang also flew over their heads (though she'll admit, some of it is needed for what she needs). [break][break]

the alcohol helps her loosen up, just enough for her to wear a more natural smile. just enough rum in the pineapple can put a soft hue of pink on her cheeks as she returns the gaze, and she uses this moment to lean forwards, resting her elbow against the corner of the bar counter. [break][break]

she'll only chuckle in amusement at his assumption. then hum. [break][break]

a darkened gaze of pink meets his, but averts momentarily when he points out the poor elephant in the room. [break][break]

"o-oh yeah.. that..." a free hand reaches down to another lock of dirty blond, beginning to idly twirl around her fingers. "i.. guess i can get pretty heated..?" it's embarrassing when she thinks too much on it "really passionate, i guess~"[break][break]

how can something come out of someone's lips so smoothly? it's a mystery, though there are no complaints when it's music to her ears. the conviction in his deep, red gaze draws her in, she'll admit. in the same way he comments on her attitude off the screen, she's noticed a thing or two - [break][break]

he's a lot more forward than she thought he'd be. [break][break]

which isn't a complaint, no. lilith doesn't mind, but she's never met someone with such a silver tongue and looks to boot. [break][break]

but lilith is no naive, innocent lady - no matter how shy and timid her little lamb demeanor makes her. he leans in so effortlessly and, because she is no fool, she'll wear a soft smile, shy and sweet, laced with the buzz of pineapple and coconut. [break][break]

the pinkish-bronze hue of her eyes stay on his, just as the pinkish shade on her lips dips to a deeper ruby. lilith can feel the soft sigh that leaves her lips, and the poor attempt at easing a pounding heart. the butterflies flutter, and the tingle reaches her ears when his lips nip at hers.[break][break]

has the taste of coffee always been this tempting? [break][break]

"pretty damn passionate~" her voice lowers with his, and now she doesn't mind any eyes from other patrons. she'll focus on how her fingers gently wrap and tighten around those holding her hand.[break][break]

there was plenty to waste - and it becomes easier to manage when she thinks of this as nothing more than that. it was nerve-wrecking, certainly, when she realized she'd be on a date with someone as well known, and so well pit together and composed. it was nerve-wrecking when she realized she'd be going on a date, and would be talking to someone off the screen. [break][break]

but isn't this how she's always been? [break][break]

if that's how she thinks, it makes everything manageable. the hue of rosiness tinges her cheeks feeling his fingers run through locks of blonde, but her soft gaze has nothing but affection when the anxiety starts to fade. rum and a good talk tend to do that, it seems. [break][break]

she'd have leaned in to close the gap, were it not for his follow up. so, for their sakes, the melting is put to a brief halt and pale eyes narrow off to the side. it catches the curious glances of onlookers. that coquettish nagging insists that she shouldn't stop, but her own dignity will make other chatter. [break][break]

".. yeah." [break][break]

her response is short. still, her lips raise her cheeks into a warm smile. lilith leans back, slightly, but her hand maintains their tangle with his fingers as she scoots off her stool. she's so eager for physical touch, though, and brings the back of his hand to gently caress her cheek. it's so absentminded, and so natural for her.
