The Wishiwashi that surfaced was enough to surprise the poor Snivy that sniffed around the pond. It lurched back before it launched its vines out to attack. They were quick to wrap tight around the Wishiwashi's body and yank it out of the waters. Sven shouted for a moment for the Snivy to release it, but his words were drowned out by the Wishiwashi's Schooling. Snivy was forced to let go, but the damage had already been done. He didn't want to leave the poor injured water type in the wild without some form of treatment, so he was forced to catch the fish. Sven wound up the shot and threw a safari ball at the Wishiwashi.

"Hey, next time wait until my orders, ok?" he sighed. "I'm not mad, we just don't want to ruin the ecosystem of this place with senseless violence."

The Snivy gave a sound that seemed saddened over the fact it managed to displease its trainer. Sven sighed before he reached down and gave Sprig an encouraging pat on the head. That was enough to make the Snivy perk up a bit. He couldn't be mad at it for long, the creature was kind of cute. Given its new addition to his team, Sven wanted to train it a bit more.

"You just have to trust me, alright? I promise I won't try to get you hurt."

With the Wishiwashi secure, Sven picked up the safari ball and readied himself to tred further into the Safari Zone. Though when he heard the quick pitter patter of feet, his ears pricked and forced him to turn around. Before he could properly counter, the Zigzagoon had used Take Down on his Snivy. While the pokemon staggered back, it stood firm once again and readied an attack. The small raccoon like creature seemed far too speedy to focus a singular attack on.

"Alright, Sprig, use Leaf Storm so we can try to get this thing from all angles!"

The Snivy summoned forth a spiral of leaves that overwhelmed the Zigzagoon. While the attack began to lacerate at the pokemon, Sven drew back another ball and sent it flying at the creature. If he could snag it, that would offer a speedy creature to his team. Besides, its interesting color certainly caught his eye. Once the ball made contact, his Snivy ceased its attack as not to disturb the safari ball itself.

With yet another in the Safari's lineup dealt with, Sven ducked down and grabbed the pokeball. But before he could bag it, a looming Clamperl caught him with a quick spritz to the face with Water Gun. Sven dropped the safari ball, which let the Galarian Zigzagoon loose. With little to no control, the rabbit raccoon launched itself at the Clamperl in a Take Down in an attempt to take on the Clamperl.

"Wait!"

Given its new addition to the team, the Zigzagoon didn't listen to him quite yet. Once more, it launched itself at the Clamperl and injured itself in the process. But as it wiped out the unsuspecting clam, the Zigzagoon began to take some damage of its own. With its own stamina depleted a fair chunk, Sven knelt down and gave the Zigzagoon a gentle stroke to reassure it that it could calm down.

"If we're going to make this work, you need to listen. For now, I'm gonna draw you back and let you rest up. You're quite a spitfire, aren't you? I think that's what I'm gonna call you."

He grinned as the Zigzagoon yipped excitedly at the thought of a nickname. Now dubbed Spitfire, he drew the new addition back in and allowed it opportunity to rest. He did the same with Sprig and allowed the Snivy some time to rest. It had held up well and deserved a break. For now, he opted to let Chomper some time to shine. The Fuecoco gave a loud yawn and stretched its arms before it turned around to give Sven's leg a hug.

"It's been a while hasn't it? Let's explore a bit!"

Much like a dive bomber, the Ledyba swooped in with a Mach Punch to his unsuspecting Fuecoco. While it tanked the hit, the fire croc latched onto the bug's bulbous fist and flipped itself onto the Ledyba's back. The sudden move caused the Ledyba to lose its balance in the air and sent the two downward. Before impact, Fuecoco had leaped off of the bug and landed before Sven's feet. Though the impact had been enough to stun the ladybug like pokemon, it seemed that Chomper wasn't quite done.

"Show it what we can do! Incinerate!"

The Fuecoco began to pick up speed to charge its inner fire. After it crashed into the Ledyba, it opened its maw and set the wild pokemon alight with its use of Incinerate. While the flame didn't last long, it was enough to make the Ledyba flee in a desperate rush. While they typically didn't care to bring harm to wild pokemon, it came as a kneejerk reaction in that moment. In the aftermath, he did feel a little guilty. But at least the Ledyba could recover on its own time.

"You're ok, right Chomper?" he asked as he knelt down to stroke the top of the Fuecoco's head.

The croc could only open its maw wide and offer a chittering sound to show it was more than alright. It seemed eager to see what else remained in their little venture.

With his Fuecoco in proper shape, Sven gave a sigh of relief. The poor thing had plenty of spirit to it, and it worked as a double-edged sword. Sure, it was fine, but he didn't want to see the croc tire itself out for his sake. Before the pair could properly recoup, static flooded the air. The hair on the back of his neck stood on end as he moved to tackle his own Fuecoco out of the way. In the split second that followed the impact, a streak of electricity shot past the pair. His quick thinking saved his Fuecoco from paralysis. The Elekid that stalked out of the trees let out a sound that seemed frustrated that its attack hadn't hit. Sven hopped to his feet and helped Chomper stand back up. Once the croc was back on its own feet, he sent the pokemon forward.

"Chomper! Fire Blast!"

Once more, the croc charged forward at its opponent. Though as it ran, it seemed to dig deep for its fire. Flames built up in the creature's maw as it lunged foward and shot out the flames towards the Elekid. Heat crashed down on the electric type and seemed to do the trick. But Sven wasn't completely done, as he heaved yet another safari ball at the Elekid.

With the Elekid snagged, Sven charged over to go pick up the ball. However it was Chomper's turn to protect its trainer. The croc charged forward and leapt onto Sven's shoulder, then landed square in front of him before it shot a Flamethrower at the attacking Charcadet. It matched the intensity of the wild pokemon's Incinerate and left for what could only be described as a true firefight. The two clashed in a way that could only be described as a dance -- Fire Spin met with Fire Blast, sparks were sent flying. Once the two seemed burnt out, the Fuecoco did something unexpected and breathed in before it let out a Yawn.

Sven reached up to cover his ears while the croc let it out. The Charcadet seemed to stumble a bit, as though fatigue had hit it like a freight train. As much as it tried to shake free of the overwhelming feeling, it soon made one final stumble before it hit the ground. Sven threw his final safari ball at the incapacitated Charcadet in an attempt to catch it.

"You guys really went at it-- Shit!"

Before he could finish his thought, Sven let out his Dewott in an attempt to put out the flames that had caught on some of the folliage around the safari zone. He had been too occupied by the fight to notice what got caught in the crossfires. But he supposed he could do some rudimentary firefighting before the warden called him and his team back.
