Luke does not, as a general rule, utilize elevators-- not public ones, anyway. When the need arises he is more than happy to do like a normal Pokemon Trainer and coast down on his Bombirdier.

But every now and then his job requires him to go into some building or another that has Bunnelby warren halls, and his targeted location is at the dead center of these twisting, turning, unnecessarily complicated pathways. So a regular, gray-box public elevator is a necessary evil.

He’s happily zoning out for what should be a very brief ride until the gears begin their death-knell and the metal cube grinds to a halt; the sudden stop causes him to jilt sideways, slightly, and he brushes shoulders with the smaller individual he’s (now) trapped with. A rather terse sigh of frustration escapes him.

“Apologies,” he says, first putting space between them; secondly, he takes out his phone and turns on the flashlight, pans it over the control panel in search of the ‘help’ button. At the same time, he’s checking his phone screen. “I don’t suppose we’re high enough up for you to have service?” he asks, looking over his shoulder at nagi miwa.
