the heat blazes, the sun burning away at her.

not that the pale, ghostly woman cared much. she has suffered more pain then this, if the gathering of people around her could only make her feel that much. she finds herself threadding her fingers in the air, the cords of a half-forgotten melody ( forgotten only by sheer will, because remembering it will only bring the blood back to her hands ) trailing in her mind as she finds herself to the side and edge of the gathering of people. many where scattered, but there were a few here and there, eagerly waiting and trying.

beside her, the black skinned lizard slunk. vivid eyes spotted a target, and with a light, chirpy noise, she left her trainer's side. the pale haired woman's eyes followed her pokemon's trek. One of the Volcarona had split a little far from the swarm, and in a flash her Salazzle had it in her grasp. it had only required a jump, and to wrap herself around the bug, letting out a series of noises for Valdis to follow. and with a calm, determined step, the survivor drew a pokeball from her pouch, debating on if she should.

the sun's SOLAR light reflected off her pokeball, making her blink a moment. but she knew then she must. after all, her gut screamed it. so with a sharp, precise motion, she threw the pokeball at the pokemon, hoping to catch it. she could feel her eye itch however, and knew she wouldn't have much time left under this burning blaze. but she still had some time. and she would take it to make sure the capture was successful, and keep an eye on the people here.

it's a massacre out here.

He must’ve been a little late to the party.

What with him taking on two shifts’ worth of deliveries, it was some small wonder he’d even managed to catch word that there was a bloody Volcarona swarm erupting out of Mount Chimney. That made him backtrack for a few moments, stop and wonder—how in the ever-loving fuck did something native to Unova end up all the way out here?

Honestly, he was at a loss.

Thankfully, his way down from the rocky pass involved him carrying some stuff around in a backpack while navigating the sheer expanse with an Acro Bike (because seriously, he wasn’t going to risk his motorcycle in this mess) involved him getting close to the area. He…wasn’t surprised at the turnout of the people here.

He even thought he saw someone firing off a Solar Beam attack. Wait, that was a little stupid on their end… but he didn’t care at all. Either way, the entire place was a mess now, and here he was, just shaking his head and sighing.

Of course, now that he had a few chance, he wasn’t going to pass this up.

Just like those few times he’d tried—and miserably failed. Searching his pockets for a spare Pokéball, he carefully takes aim and watches as his own containment unit joins the fray.

But somewhere inside him, he knows…

It’s not meant to be.

Or is it?

what a sight to be hold. a swarm of volcarona flew above in a flurry of fire and wind. the sky seemed brighter with the sun shining it's solar light down upon the world below. this was seemed to be a perfect time to try and catch one.

a thought that many other trainers seemed to also hold. grasping the empty pokeball in his hand he flung the pokeball with all his might watching as it collided with one of the gaint moth pokemon and ensnaring it in a red light. as the pokeball fell to the ground and began to shake, theodore waited with baited breath.

Avery had come prepared. Although not super invested in capturing any of these beauties because they seemed so at peace, she was more than happy to pull up a blanket and sit under the blazing light of their wings.

Of course, by prepared, I mean, Avery was wearing a very nice pair of sunglasses to prevent losing her eyesight their solar flare. That, and the sun was literally right behind them and one false move could mean bye-bye to Avery's 20/20 vision.

Munchlax remained asleep in her lap, totally not interested in the wild Volcarona and Larvesta making their way past Mt. Chimney.

"whoa, it suddenly got really hot. must be all the solar energy...whatever that is.." the pinkette hummed slightly. seeing groups of the giant fiery moths swarm the skies. it was almost a bit pretty, seeing the embers descend from their wings like dust.

slightly enamored by the sight, she couldn't help but raise an arm and toss a single pokeball. one of those would make a perfect wedding gift, wouldn't it?
