here again, standing at the edge of two worlds. her brows are knit as she forgets herself, wondering if their consistent pilgrimage to this place has worsened the rift, blurred the lines even more between their worlds.

down, down, down into the ultra deep sea they go. freya's poipole follows curiously behind. its hands brush fondly against the flora. she wonders too, if it remembers that this is its plane of birth.

the aura thickens and freya drops her pack and equipment, eyeing her companion before raising her hands.

Melody arrives in her sygnasuit "This place fuckin sucks" she complains. "Let's not stick around any longer than we have to. This place starts to do weird shit if you stay too long. I'll take the brunt of the attack myself." as she was an elite 4 and the woman was a council person. [break][break]

She felt it be her responsibility to be the woman's sword and shield as an elite 4 member despite the fact she was sure that freya's fearsome dragons would be able to handle themselves against melody. She activates her suits as the waves wash over Melody and she braves the energy of the core head on, trying to cover Freya.

melody's sygna suit is as dazzling as the elite four member herself. when it activates, freya puts her hands down, looking grateful. soon, soon, she'll be able to hold her own out here. but until ALEXANDER STONE is finished with her suit, she'll have to rely on others like melody.

it shouldn't bother her as much as it does.

"i know," freya says as she hefts her things. "i've been here before."

her lips are a flat line. apologies aren't her strong suit, though she knows melody doesn't mean to imply she's not up to the task. this place fuckin' sucks. that's just it.

"do you ever wonder if this thing wants us to take the ore?" she asks as they delve deeper into the ultra deep sea.

Melody takes on the brunt of the attack from the waves as she pushes through and manages to repel them successfully. She does note that freya mentions she had been here before, melody only started to come during the extraction missions and whenever Navy forced her to be here, otherwise she'd be in the mechanical kingdom "Alright then you lead the way!" she says as she follows her lead and begins to mine some of the ore. [break][break]

"HmMmMmmMm well if this is like the inside of a giant thing, these ores might be like blood clots?" she wonders out loud, she was no expert when it came to the inner workings of one's body. But she knew one thing from tiktok and it's that the doctors on her series took blood clots extremely seriously if it got into the wrong part of the body. "So maybe it just hurts when we take it but it helps it??" she wonders.

"funny. i've come to think of those abominations out there as white blood cells." she reaches for some of the ore she'd managed to break off. micolash knows the drill at this point. when the mist starts to thicken outside of the skeleton's carapace, he darts to the other side.

into the fray of slaughter and bloodshed.

"maybe you're right, but i'm not so sure i want to help this thing." micolash's screeches echo towards them. a lumbering, distorted shape emerges from the mist, one vicious claw raised. and then it sputters blood, keels over, and reveals the poisonous creature behind it.

micolash chitters and rips a chunk off the fusion's shoulder. freya grimaces.

"speaking of help - i've been meaning to talk to you about your newest project. pokemon home?"

All of a sudden a giant fucking nose that couldn't seem to mind it's business came out of nowhere. "What the FUCK is that?!" she screams at it, she was sure it was about to use GUNK shot at them. [break][break]

Meanwhile, Primarina leaps into action immediately as she knows time is of the essence and fires off a sparkling aria at the abomination to fend it off[break][break]

Melody looks towards freya though when the woman mentions project home "Oh? So you've heard of it? What do you think about it?"

oddly, it's not the worst thing she's seen come out of this hazy hellscape. the organ thrums above them. dynite rocks - melody's blood clots - shiver on the ground. freya blinks away the stuttering vision. time creeps up on them. a buzzer sounds in her back pocket.

without a sygna suit, she's a liability.

between melody's primarina and freya's poipole, the sniffa is handled expeditiously.

"i have," she says with a smile. "i think it's a grand idea. but maybe we should talk more about it when an army of those things aren't bearing down on us."

she points. through the mist, the wall of nosepass noses approaches. in her haste to grab their things, some of the dynite ore spills out of her pack. she leaves it, knowing they'll return again.
