Once upon a time, the man known as Seiya was a bright-eyed recruit in the Kantonian military, a new recruit with his entire future in front of him. Looking to succeed as part of the military as his Father and Grandfather had done before him, to distinguish himself and to make a better world.

Those dreams are long dead, the man who stands here now is simply a deserter, one whose given up on the cause, a hollow shell that’s driven by habit instead. Even lacking the drive for vengeance, nor to properly start his life over again. Having lost Kanto to rocket, having lost his home, his dreams, and his child to the war, it was natural that his marriage had ended in a divorce, Seiya has come to believe that his entire old way of life had been completely wrong and had done a complete 180.

At present, Seiya is the type of man who thinks any opinion that isn’t his own is stupid and wrong. The man is rude to the highest degree, he’s standoffish, and is under the impression that as long as a goal is reached, the means don’t matter in the slightest. His pokemon are heavily mistreated, and used as simple weapons.

While he doesn’t chase vengeance, a part of him doesn’t want this region to be taken over by Rocket, and so he’s come to the conclusion, to deal with monsters, one has to become a bigger one. But all the same, he’s just as likely to be passed out in a casino somewhere throwing away his money.

Yet somehow a man like this became a Pokemon Ranger, while he considers pokemon expendable, he understands their importance…Or rather, he liked the government benefits enough to join and drop his delivery job.
