The trees might well be a risk, the Trevenant was definitely aggressive, but in that moment he drew his pokeball to call forth his Charizard, the pokemon roared as it came from the pokeball before Seiya pointed at the Trevenant.

The firetype did as instructed, breathing out a stream of flames that rotated around the ghost type tree, forcing it to stay rooted otherwise it might well end up being burnt. ”Got him locked down for a moment, we finishing him?”

It was a question that was delivered in an even tone, yet its intonation was bitterly cold; as if he was weighing up the life of this creature in this very moment.

Seiya looked over at the food on the table, and then glanced around the apartment, the layout was more or less the same as his own, but the choice of furniture was different; then again Seiya rarely had people over. He took off his shoes just as instructed, and left them beside the door before he stepped in properly.

”Hm? Me? Training to be a Ranger, just a humble cadet, me and a couple eighteen year olds. Worked delivery prior to that.” He said as he shrugged, coming to Hoenn with the background didn’t keep all too many potential jobs open to him.

”Paralegal huh? Wonder why you’d opt to live in a small apartment like this.” He said as he sat down on the table, looking over at the Kantonian food, chopsticks held tightly in his hand.

It was hard to tell, one of these trees was the one; Seiya was a scout by nature, he was used to looking for information, especially in a place where one was surrounded by potential enemies. But this was different.

”What a pain…I can’t burn the trees down either.” He said as he held a pokeball in his hand, ready to release his Charizard into the world; it was subtle, and it took a fraction of a moment.

But it was there, his eyes caught that moment; Charizard came out of the pokeball; pointed in the right direction as he charged forward with force. Eyes fixed on the tree; flames ready to spurt out of his mouth; but waiting for the cats to be moved.

”Paxton! It’s here!” He shouted aloud; alerting the kittens and the tree.

Seiya stopped in his tracks for a moment as he was pointed in the right direction, the stumbling was one thing, but the question was another.

The smell of his homeland was enough to make the decision for him. ”I’ve been blessed with a great neighbor, I’d love to have a meal with you..” Seiya said as he patted Gunner on the shoulder.

”Gonna try my best, but these are a buncha Primeapes I’m dealing with, those fuckers are vicious.” He said as he got onto the back of his Charizard, the fire-type didn’t like carrying him very often, but it couldn’t really be helped in this case.

”Don’t get hurt out there boss-man.” He said as he took to the skies on the back of his mount, staring down at where he expected those creatures to be. Careful focus set on the task in front of him.

Finding the right time to drop Golem into their midst, that meant leading them elsewhere, ”Air Slash, wait for them to bite, then use a heat wave to coral them forward.” Better to avoid the forest catching on flames…

It was a simple sound, but it showed the frustration he felt as he pulled back with a stumble. ”Gunner huh, not a bad name. Seiya’s the name, nice to meet ya neighbour.” He said as he held himself up against the wall for a moment before taking in a deep breath.

”Sorry ‘bout the door, have a good night.” He said as he walked before the scent of the takeout drew his attention. ”Is that…Kantonian?” It smelt familiar, food from his homeland.

Seiya couldn’t disagree. ”Nah, when you get to this age, and have fought so much; you stop caring too much.” He said in an even voice, Seiya wasn’t that fond of it as he got on the back of Charizard, his ace; the pokemon he could trust in explicitly, and implicitly, still in that moment as they rode, they’d have to leave all of those things behind in this place.

”But then again, you’re not all that young, are ya?” If he had to take a guess, he’d place Micheal Navidson around the same age as himself.

But Seiya still decided to tuck that trick away in his back pocket as he watched the various pieces fall behind.

Seiya couldn’t help but keep a stiff expression, it was difficult to ignore the elephant in the room, like why he had disappeared, what had happened to the rest of the team. He was surprised with himself, but he was feeling some guilt, it existed. But at the same time, he had to think about his family…None of which were by his side.

He was a Ranger, but he had been a Scout before then, he trusted his ability to get to places, and gather information. ”I’ll take point then, I’ll get you the info, you lead them away, and we’ll check back in together again?” He said as he rolled his shoulders, he was more or less ready to tackle the task.

So he began to move, this place wasn’t far away from the target, just taking the turn put the Trevenant in range, it wasn’t really doing much more than hanging over them. ”Weird.” But situations could change exceptionally fast.

Seiya seemed like he was going to see something else, worlds like this were strange, usually the kind of thing he wanted to avoid. He was a career type of guy, make his money, gamble it away, get too drunk to do anything. That was the kind of life he was happy to live now. ”So there’s a trick to this huh?” Charizard took point, joining in with a Heat Wave

He wondered just how many times this guy has been down here, but then again this was the Sheriff of Dewford. ”You might be stronger than the average guy, hell, might be stronger than the stronger guys too…But this will pile up.” He wondered just how much of his lifespan he’d already cut?

But more importantly, was it even his problem to question the man on it?

They’d just have to burn these bugs down to the ground before they worried about something else.

”Damn right it does.” Seiya said with a cheeky half smirk before he deliberated on how to handle the situation in front of them, it wasn’t going to be easy, that much was going to be true.

You can take on the braniacs, better to have the expert on that case.” He said as he cracked his neck. ”I’m fresh outta the park, I ain’t gonna do something I ain’t sure I can do. No point in rescuing me and the apes.”

The fuck’s it matter to you?” He said as he turned to look over his shoulder before his expression softened slightly, he looked around before looking back at Gunner. ”Guess you’re the neighbour. Moved in recently.” He said as he tried to stand up straight before he wobbled backwards before catching himself.

The stench of alcohol on his breath was apparent, the disheveled look of his clothes showed that he might just have fallen earlier that night, but the mud on his knees confirmed such a fact. In truth, he looked a bit a mess. ”Just…A pain in the butt to grab my ke-There they are.” He said as they jangled, before he tried to stick his car key into his neighbours door.
