No one had answered Ivy yet in the discord server she had found the other day. Perhaps she had been too hopeful thinking she could find a traveling partner in this random chatroom - and even if, would it be intelligent to meet up with someone like that? Whatever...

She figured she should just start her jorney on her own then. She couldn't wait for anyone else, she wanted to do this for herself. Having chosen to venture towards Verdanturf Town and then Mauville City, she began her jorney here, on Route 116. Not having a car and wanting to give her Pokemon chances to have a few wild battles, she was going there on foot, through the forest-y area that she had been to before many times. Back then she had not cared too much about the wild Pokemon hiding around her though. That had changed now.

Sal and Sally, her two Salandit, were running around, play-battling one another rather than any other Pokemon as of now. It was crazy to think that not too soon into the future Sally would be many times taller than little Sal. Sal who wouldn't be able to evolve into a Salazzle like Sally would. In Ivy's head, she always pictured the two of them as a unit, as twins even.

A rustling sound caught Ivy's attention, and not only hers. Sal and Sally looked up, seeing the source of the noise moments before their trainer did. There, running away on it's tiny feet, was a Hatenna!

The wild Pokemon seemingly just wanted to get far, far away from the trio walking along the Route. The Salandits' fighting must have startled it, Ivy reckoned, remembering that Hatenna were said to be a very shy and easily startled species.

"Shh, Babies." Ivy looked to her two companions, bending down to pet them. After a few seconds she stood up again, ready to move on.

Sal and Sally had found another thing to focus their attention on: A fellow lizard Pokemon! Though it wasn't a Salandit nor a Salazzle like them - it was a slightly taller, mostly yellow one. Helioptile, right? Ivy hoped she remembered the correct name for this creature. What she was certain of at least was that it was skilled with Electro-Moves, so that could be useful for her..

And she needed a bigger team if she wanted to win against anyone, let alone a gym leader or the like. And what if she came across someone dubious, what with all these crazy events happening lately? Yep, it was decided then! This Helioptile would be hers - well, if she succeeded in catching it..!
