He checked his phone as he got a ping then glanced over to the road. A few people were making their way in his direction but one seemed to be making a beeline straight for him. It had to be them, his contact. As he tried to keep his head turned away from them his eyes noticed something familiar about the person walking towards him. They seemed awfully familiar, a little too familiar.

As soon as she was a few feet from him he dropped his cover and turned towards her with with his mouth slightly agape as his head flooded with memories. "Its you."

He jabbed a finger right at Yuina as he approached her and nearly towered over her. "Your that girl who kicked me outta the booty bump contest!" That's when he covered his mouth when he realized what he just said. He turned his back towards her and let out a cough and cleared his throat before turning back around, "I mean...ya here about the road sign?" Saved it.

"Huh? Oh no worries 'bout that. Actually never got to congratulate ya for doing so, not many folks can knock me down like you did." For obvious reason if the visible difference in height between them wasn't obvious. Her comment about being on the same side did bring his train of though back on track however as he realized just how abrupt he might have seemed. After all they were both here for a job that needed doing, they could catch up later on.

"Talk about a small world, anyway I take it your the person I'm supposed to meet? Then we might wanna get outta here cause-" That's when the sound of yelling reached his ears and he whipped around once more to see two people come running right at them with a pair of Servipers leading the charge baring their fangs. While Yuina might be able to guess who they were Kaz was already familiar with them as he took out a Pokeball, "Crap they found me! If ya got some 'mons send them out!"

Throwing his own ball it exploded into an Armarouge that wasted no time in shooting its armor cannon to break up the goons' formation and try to separate them. "Cause we're gonna need to run or fight!"

The combination of both covering fire and actual cover seemed to slow their pursuers down as their charge came to a stop and Kaz could see the faint shapes of them trying to figure out which direction was which through the haze. He might have gotten a little bit too happy too fast as two orbs of purple suddenly came shooting out of the hazy cloud. One was way off the mark that it hit a tree on the other side of the road but another was heading straight down towards Yuina and her Treeko. "Defense!"

Knightmare wasted no time in switching from offense to defense as he ran back and held out his arms to bring up a Wide Guard that stopped the sludge bomb in its tracks. The assault didn't stop there as from the haze out flew a pair of crobats now firing off air cutters that managed to fly around the Armarouge's defenses and slice into its shoulder and sending him toppling to the ground. "Fuck! Hey incoming!" It was all he could yell out at her while he searched his own Pokeballs for something that might help them out of this.

"Only two! But they're real persistent!" He didn't even want to describe how they've been chasing him down since yesterday and today was the only time he managed to give them a proper slip even if for a hot minute. Heck even their skill told him they weren't the average grunts but also weren't top brass, somewhere more in the middle. It was going to take a lot more than just luck to get these guys off their tails and while they were more than just him now seeing the poor Treeko get taken out tempered his expectations a little. Still he had to believe that they could get through this.

The Dusknoir comes rushing out with telekinesis that holds one of the bats in place and in the path of the ice punches and was almost ready to accept its fate. Almost. That was when its partner suddenly flew in front of the barrage and felt each punch leave a freezing mark on its body before the ice that crawled all over it became too much and the weight of it pulled them down to the ground. The physic hold on the imprisoned crobat finally waned and it wasted no time in going in for a bite on the Duskinoir.

Meanwhile down on the ground the twin Sevipers managed to find their way out of the haze and were quick to deal a pair of night slashes against the armarouge. The two slashes with their tails left purple marks across the knight's pristine armor as it felt its body suddenly hurt all around as their poison started to crawl throughout their body. The shock of it sent the knight down onto the ground and out for the count. "Tch! This isn't good... Try to get outta here! I'll hold them off!" He called to Yuina Higashi as he took out another ball.

This time another knight came out with its blades crossed as Kazimir struck a pose. "Let our blossoms dance from your ash, BLOOM DOOM!" As both trainer and Pokemon raised an arm to the sky flowers sprouted around them as the blade of Ceruledge glowed bright green as the flowers under its feet began to shoot rays of light into the sky that formed one larger beam that expanded and swallowed up one of the Sevipers as the other retreated back as fast as it could still hissing at the pair as their flower power z-move erupted.

As the light faded one of the snakes was on the ground not even moving an inch while its partner was slithering its way right at Kaz and his Ceruledge. "Take him out!" One little snake wasn't a challenge for them! So his Ceruledge raised its sword arm and swiped as it glowed a ghastly purple and brought down a shadow claw onto the Seviper.

That would have been the end of it if it didn't side step the strike.

Instead it moved past both the sword pokemon and Kazimir and set its sights on Yuina. Its tail began to glow once more as it hissed at the woman and brought its tail around to stab her with a poison jab to try and take her out. "Yuina! Move!" She was right, if either one of them was separated they couldn't complete their mission. Still he would sacrifice the job if it meant that she wasn't about to be skewered yet all he could do to help was reach out to her and watch as his Ceruledge did its best to race after the snake with its blades drawn.

For a second Yuina looked like she was going to have the tail ran through her until something steel cut off the Seviper's attack. With one mighty slash it knocked the snake away managing to keep its trainer safe and giving Kaz a bit of relief before looking at his ghostly knight. "Let's bring out the muscle."

The Ceruledge nodded and with an ally switch swapped itself with one of Kaz's heaviest hitters. A large red muscular bug known as Buzzwole. As the Seviper regained itself it hissed at Yuina and slithered to pounce at her before getting its entire body grabbed by one hand and thrown back at the pursuing Rockets.

"You ok? Looks like ya got a cut down there." Kaz rushed over to Yuina's side and looked her over. When he saw the cut down her thigh he pulled at his shirt to rip off a chunk of it and wrap it around the wound to stop any bleeding. "Might be a bit tight, but better safe than sorry." He gave her a smile before snapping back at his Buzzwole, "Send them packing! Darkest Lariat!"

As the large bug started to spin it rushed forward and knocked out the two goons with a tornado of a lariat and continued to do so to make sure that the deed was done. "Think you can walk? Lean on me if you can't." Maybe he was being a bit too doting but it was a close call they just had. Blood was probably running high all around.
